| I just started reading it, and so far, it comes off as rather homophobic and really heteronormative; i.e., that everyone should be straight, and the whole plot is a plan to straighten the heroine out and make her "normal." What does everyone else think? Is that the way this manga is...? Does the manga redeem itself, or is it like this the whole way so far...? (I gotta admit though, the art is amazing and it's hilarious... Please redeem yourself!) |

| haha I dunno, I don't think a manga as silly and utterly ridonkulous as Houou Gakuen Misoragumi can take on such a serious tone... or do we call it "lesson"? I dunno...but it just doesn't seem to fit. Like when her mother was scolding her about her being a lesbian, she did it in such a silly and humorous way, that it's kind of hard to take her seriously. I just think that in this specific case, you can't really take anything they say too seriously...or at least at this point in the story. I'm having a feeling that it'll take a more serious tone as the plot progresses. |

| Oh no, why so? Is it only because her mother wishes her to be hetero? For me it's only used to place her somehow in an all-boys school with a - better or worse - reason. (The other thing is I AGAIN see a lesbian scared of guys =_= Really, would it be less interesting if she would treat them normally?...) But anyway, I really can't see anything homophobic about this manga~ |

Well, I hope she does, it would be pretty weird if she turns straight all of a sudden and becomes the winpy shoujo protagenist we all know. Unfortunately, it sure doesn't look like she'll stay a lesbian, with all those feelings for the little sadist boy. I wish they'd just throw in a girl to make Kei have more high school fantasies XD (and just for the convenience throw out the mother, 'cause she's REALLY getting on my nerves. |

| I'm glad someone else noticed the homophobic vibes. And it's not just homophobic, but also transphobic AND sexist. Definitely has a heteronormative tone. I think I'm going to have to drop it. On top of that, Yui's character annoys me far too much at this point. Unfortunately, I love gender bender manga so I regularly have to put up with crap like this to get to enjoy some small fragment of what I'm interested in. |

I have a feeling thats why she started looking to girls for romantic relationships (plus she looks like a good looking guy so...) And her mother wants to have grandchildren as her reason for wanting her daughter to get married in the future and stuff... lol not saying thats a good reason to put her in an all guys school, but yeah... plot device Theres also the guy who is a major masochist (which I think is hilarious) and wants Yui to abuse him XD |
| Ughh, I did get the whole homophobic / heteronormative vibe, especially with how Kei's mother treats Kei's aversion to guys... Made me think of parents putting their children in ex-gay camps. Kei's mother never seriously considers Kei's feelings, or what kind of difficulties she'd have as a girl (straight, bi, gay, man-hater, what have you) at an all boys school (and I found this method of solving Kei's problem stupid, and rather counter-productive. Just put her in therapy, man). But the manga is way too silly, I could never get properly angry. It would have been nice if the plot progressed so that Kei would eventually confront her mother... asking her to seriously accept Kei as who she was but.... yeah, childhood trauma's are the reason for every character's personality. |

| Thats exactly how i felt which is why i dropped this at 3 chapters. It gives me a feeling that the author is trying to say lesbians can be "cured" into being straight by forcing them to live in an all boys environment. As if being "lesbian" is just a phase and not a permanent thing. |
