| The first and only daughter of the Osaragi family, Hazumu leads a high school lifestyle that's anything but typical. Depending on how you look at it, Hazumu may have been in the wrong or the right place at the wrong or the right time, but either way, an alien spaceship crashed into him on top of Kashima mountain one night, critically injuring him. The aliens felt so remorseful over the act, that they happily regenerated his body, making only one key error. Hazumu's sex has been perfectly reversed, and he's now a she, all the way down to her DNA! Despite a battery of tests, humanity has to admit this isn't a hoax, and Hazumu's entry in the Osaragi family register is officially changed from 'male' to 'female'. Being the main character of Kashimashi (and being adorable to boot), it seems everybody has a thing for Hazumu, from crushes to true love to just plain old lust. She takes to her new role quite easily, much to the frustration of Tomari, who initially is sick of hearing everybody remark on how it's like Hazumu always was a girl anyway. Coping with the change isn't only Hazumu's cross to bear, it seems--Tomari misses boy Hazumu, Asuta is trying to deal with his new romantic feelings towards his former best buddy, Otosan is becoming a letch, Okasan couldn't be happier...even the alien spaceship is head over heels! As for Yasuna...well...Yasuna's even more in love now than when Hazumu was a boy! Hazumu's personality really hasn't changed, now it seems it's just more socially acceptable for her to be the way she's always been. Her real tests are figuring out all the nuances of how to dress, speak, and act...as well as learning to cope with and respond to all the romance in her life now! Whether it's a blessing or a curse, what's a guy/girl to do, and why does she have to carry tissues around all the time, anyway!? |
