This is the "Devil Sword" RP forum. So, here's the storyline/premise... It's the early 1400's in Japan, before the Sengoku Jidai, or Warring-States Era. War still ravishes the country, and many diamyo's are fighting for military and political power. Along with the humanistic side of things, it doesn't help that many powerful demons are roaming the land, causing chaos and death. Will you be a warrior fighting the demons? Or one of the evil demons yourself? Or will you choose the side of a human, and choose your own path? RPC Sheet Format: Name: Age: Race: Status: [meaning your title. i.e. samurai, diamyo, ronin, demon hunter, or "no affilliation"] Weapon(s): Bio: Appearance: Fill out this RPC Sheet, and then go ahead with role-playing! As far as rules go, just please try and keep from godmodding. If the fights get too complicated and uneven, there's something I have in mind, so don't worry... Also, please try to actually be descriptive. Short, blunt posts are annoying and childish. Just pretend you're writing a book. Besides, everyone's going to see what you type, so make it good! Besides that, I can't think of anything else, so...happy Role-Playing!!!! |

Name: Ichise (No first name because he was exiled from his clan.) Age: 27 Race: Human ... sort of... Status: Ronin/Killer For Hire (No affiliation w/ either side, whoever pays more really.) Weapons: Here's the fun part: Cleaver on his right hip (He is left handed.) Beneath his right arm, which happens to be made of wax, is a hidden katana that length of his forearm that starts just below his elbow. His left leg is also made of wax and can be pulled off to reveal a large cleaver on a hinge, that works as his knee. Inside his skin, pressed against the bone of his left arm, which isn't false, is another blade that he can push out of his skin by flexing certain muscles in a certain order. (Think Wolverine, only it comes out of the top of his wrist instead of his knuckles.) Finally, in his esophagus is a hidden needle that he can regurgitate at an alarming speed. Bio: At one time Ichise was known as Korigoru Ichise, the powerful young daimyo of the Korigoru clan. That is until he made a decision that changed his life forever. The village priest died and one of the village elders, jealous of young Ichise, set him up. He accused a young maiden was accused of killing him, the villagers planned to kill her. As she was strung up to be disembowled, Ichise, knowing the truth, stepped in to stop the madness and freed her from the mad villagers. Thinking he was in league with the girl the villagers attacked him, Ichise fought long and hard, defending the maiden but when he was attacked by prominant members of the sword school, he stood no chance. They tore him to pieces, chopping one of his arms and a leg off, also they cut his stomach open and left him there to die. But he did not die, for the maiden rescued him. She pressed his entrails back inside of him and closed the wound with hot wax then she burned his stumps to end the bleeding. Unable to die like a warrior, Ichise was furious at the girl. But when she brought her father, a blacksmith to make him a new arm, Ichise realized that the gods had given him another chance. He had her father make him blades for his arm and leg, and also embedded a sword into his arm, for vengeance against his village. He learned to hide a needle in his throat and with the help of the maiden he saved, managed to make an arm and a leg that looked human and would cover up his new limbs. But as he was preparing for the battle against his village, the maiden begged him not to go. And though he tried, he couldn't bring himself to do it. That was when he realized that he loved her. They began a new life together, and he thought that with his new body he could protect his new famil, he could start a new life. But he couldn't. A battle raged around their home one day. He was out of the house for only moments but one group had set the cottage on fire, both the maiden and her father died in the blaze. Enraged, Ichise ran into the battlefield and slaughtered the soldiers on both sides, a one man army, until there were no more left to kill. Bloodstained and empty, Ichise realized what he really was: a weapon. He became a sword for hire, willing to work for anyone who offered the largest pay. He would continue to fight and kill until someone greater than he killed him. Or until he was consumed by blood. Appearance: Black hair with a shock of white in the bangs. A monk's garb, instead of being orange though, it's a dark blue. Wrappings and leather belts cover his body. His right arm is slightly off color from the rest of his body, and he walks with a slight limp. He wears a red scarf. |

Ryu was, to put bluntly, bored. It was a good thing he was bored, though. If he was actually doing his job, that would mean people were in trouble. Se, Ryu was a roaming ronin, a samurai without a master, looking for any type of work he could to to survive. But also, along with being a ronin, he had been forced into becoming a demon hunter, due to his new..."abilities." Through circumstances out of Ryu's control, he had becom in posession, and posessed, by a demonic sword that contained the soul of a very powerful demon named Yakugan. At first, Ryu was not able to control the blood-thirsty demon until his bloodlust was satiated, but, since those times, he has learned to remain in control. At one point, he couldn't even touch the sword without being posessed, but now, he's gotten to a type of "symbioses" point with Yakugan, and they were in understanding of each other, even to the point of helping each other. Again, Ryu sighed. He had been walking down this current path for about three days now, and had found no village, or even so much as a hermit's hut, or a food stop. This didn't bother him too much, for Ryu was now beyond the need of food and rest, but it would have been nice to have SOME human interaction. He was simply bored. He sighed again. 'I'm so bored..!' Ryu thought in his head. 'We can kill some animals, or something. That sounds like fun, right?!' Yakugan excalimed excitedly. That was the other thing that bothered Ryu. Yakugan had also gotten into his head. He growled outwardly. 'No, shutup, Yakugan. I'm not going to kill just for the fun of it. Now shutup, and leave me alone...' 'Augh!! You humans are no fun!!' About an hour later, he finally saw it. After coming up to the crest of a hill, Ryu saw a large village, bustiling with life. He smiled and sighed with relief. "Finally..." he said. 'Yakugan, can you sense anything here?' 'Hmm.....no. No demons here. Damnit...there goes my fun...' That was a good thing. Now nobody had to, or was, getting hurt. Ryu began walking down the hill, towards the entrance of the village, not noticing the powerful non-demon auras, along with the one demonic aura, also heading into the village of Shimizu at the same time... |

Ichise followed his target into the village, which was bustling with people that morning. As they passed through the marketplace he almost lost track of him but the man's bald head flickered up through the crowd and Ichise once again got a lock on him. Thank God that monks were forced to shave their head, it made them so damn easy to pick out. The deal was that this morning, Ichise had to kill the monk before he could step foot into the temple, otherwise he wouldn't recieve the full compensation. As they moved towards the north end of the village, the crowd began to slowly trickle away until there was only Ichise and the monk walking the road. Ichise whistled to get the monk's attention, "Good morning, Seto." The monk turned and stared at Ichise and his strange attire, "Do I know you?" He was putting on the facade of politeness but Ichise could tell by the way he was spreading his feet that he was preparing for a fight. Ichise bared his teeth, glad to be able to fight someone who had some experience. When he'd heard about who his mark was, he'd thought that it would be simple. Thank God it wasn't. He spoke up, locking eyes with the monk, "It would seem that my employer wants you dead. So I have no choice other than to lock blades with you." The monk spread his arms, "But I am unarmed." "I can see that, so in fairness to you, I will not use my blade," Ichise drew his katana and stuck it into the ground beside him. The monk looked confused for a moment, "Why did you not attack me earlier when I wasn't looking? And why did you drop your weapon? If you are to be my killer it would be easier for you to have killed me when I wasn't prepared." A smirk spread across Ichise's face, "I didn't strike you down earlier because I am a man of honor, not some common thug. I don't throw any sucker punches. This will be a fair fight, your skills against mine." The monk nodded and then put his hands in front of him, preparing for the attack. Ichise rolled his neck, cracking his spine, this was going to be a hell of a lot of fun. |

Sorry for the late entry, but here’s my character. Name: Byaku Rasen 百螺旋 Age: 300 (Appears 27) Race: Half Demon Status: Demon Hunter, Ronin Weapon: KyodaiMizuRyu 巨大水竜, KageHime (Demon Swords) 影姫 Bio: Byaku was born into a family of a demon father and a human mother. He was always weak as a boy and a monumental disappointment to his father. At the age of 140 he was practicing his sword when he realized that his skill had improved. With a swollen head he decided he would challenge his father and prove he was a worthy son. Byaku appeared to be winning but realized his father was only toying with him; his father then stabbed his demonic sword into Byaku’s body. There was a blinding light and both the blade and Byaku disappeared. Byaku awoke years later to find out that he had gotten much stronger. He failed to realize however that the demonic sword he had been stabbed with, although it gave him power, had robbed him of all emotion. He saw that as he was now he could not control the abilities the blade had given him and was still not fully sure what they were. The only thing he was sure of was the blade’s name, and that calling this name out caused the blade to materialize in his hand. At the age of 190 Byaku swore he would one day kill his father for attempting to kill him. He searched for many years while at the same time mastering his newfound demonic powers and perfecting his swordsmanship. After 30 years of searching, now 220, Byaku finally found his father hiding in Kyoto. After a very long fight Byaku was the victor. As he looked on the body of his dead father he decided to take his father’s sword. To see if he could make this new sword vanish into his body as well Byaku took a risk and stabbed KageHime into his body. Luckily this had the desired effect and the KageHime, just as KyodaiMizuRyu before, became a part of Byaku’s Body. Fifty years later at the age of 270 Byaku decides to become a wanderer. He realizes just how much he enjoyed killing his father and decides to hunt down other demons just for the pure pleasure of it, and is still hunting them now at age 300. Appearance: average height, average build, turquoise hair, gray eyes, blue robe, black hakama. also sorry for the crappy appearance description. |

Byaku was tracking his target across the forest, but it was escaping him. His benefactor warned him that the demon had to be destroyed without a single civilian casualty. He had to kill his mark quickly because it was making its way toward a village. He had to think fast or he would not receive his pay. His benefactor also happened to live in this specific village so there would not be a way to hide the casualties. Byaku raised his right hand while still sprinting after the demon and called on one of Kagehime’s abilities. At that moment the demon was covered by a shadow, slowing him down for the few seconds that Byaku needed. The demon saw that he could no longer run and turned, getting into a fighting position. “You realize that you are no match for me,” said Byaku. The demon did in fact realize that the only reason he was not dead yet was that he could run faster than Byaku, however, he could not let Byaku know this. “I will kill you, and then destroy that village wi--” tried to boast the demon as he got cut down by Byaku’s claws. “Such worthless scum does not even deserve to be cut down by Kagehime” was the last thing Byaku said as he started for the village to collect his pay. |

Ryu was in heaven. After so long without any kind of contact, human or otherwise, being in this crowded village was euphoric. Walking through the crowd, seeing all the different types of people...it brought a smile to his face. Then he got a quick surge of sadness, however. One time ago, he was just like these people. He was normal. He was human. But now, because of this one stupid sword, he was no longer with these people. Of course, he thought, he was never truly on their level to begin with. He had been a samurai, born into a higher-class life. Even now, people were moving out of his way and bowing, seeing his armor and two swords at his waist. This brought a small smile back to his face. It reminded him of the old days... 'Before me, right? Heheheh...' Yakugan cackled in his head. Ryu sighed inwardly. 'Yes, Yakugan, before you. You know, if it wasn't for you, I'd---' 'Wait, shutup! I'm...I'm getting something. Two things, actually. There's one human aura, in a deserted part of this village...it's so huge! He doesn't have much power outside of his human self, but...even his human abilities are giving him this aura! What a fighter! Hahaha!! Ryu, go to the west, the west! We must fight him!!' Ryu growled. 'Shutup, Yakugan! I'm not going to fight just because someone has a huge aura! Though...it is worth checking out, just to make sure he's not stirring up trouble. Now, what of this other aura?' 'Oh, right...he's a bit outside of the village. A half-demon, by the feel of it. It's odd, though...I can tell he has half-demon blood, but...his aura is like that of a full-blood. Not only that, but...he seems to have additional auras to his. Like there are other demons inside him. Almost like our little situation...' 'Maybe it is the same...As long as he's outside the village, I have no quarrel with him. Yet. Let's check out this human aura first. Even I'm feeling it...' Ryu turned down a cold alley between a tea house and an inn, and started heading towards the west side of town, the deserted area... |

((Sean, is your character heading for me or Shrub or who?)) The monk's swift strike blazed past Ichise's head, removing a thin line of skin from the side of his cheek. Ichise was pleasantly surpirsed, for a monk this man's fighting ability was top notch: each strike was quick and well placed but unfortunately for him, he was much too obvious. After a few more of his attacks, Ichise launched one of his own. He brought his left leg up in a roundhouse kick that would take the monk's head off. There was a collision and then all momentum he had stopped, the monk had caught his foot just before it smashed the side of his face in. The monk smiled, "I'm afraid that it's over for you." Then he yanked back on the leg. It slid off, revealing a strip of metal. Without waiting for him to recover, Ichise brought his sword leg around and aimed low, slicing into the monk's side, just below the beltline. The monk let out a howl of pain and surprise as Ichise ripped his foot from his side and brought it around to the other, hitting the monk's armpit and cutting through until only a thong of skin was keeping the arm attached to the shoulder blade. With one final sweep of his leg, Ichise brought his leg around in a high kick that severed the monk's head clean off his shoulders. It shot up into the air wiht a streamer of blood following along behind it, bouncing a few times when it hit the ground. The rest of the monk's body followed soon after, red pooling in the street. Ichise planted his sharpened leg into the ground to give him some balance as he moved to check the body and recover his wax piece. It took some prying from the dead monk's fingers but he removed it and set it on the ground. He withdrew a piece of cloth from a pouch on his belt and wiped the vermillion stains from his blade before he let the red and white cloth flutter in the wind. He looked at the body and wondered if perhaps he should clean it up but dismissed the thought almost instantly. The agreement had been to kill the monk before he could make it to the shrine, and he had done just that. His employer could worry about what became of the carcass. As he was sticking his sword back into his leg he heard footsteps. Looking up, he saw the shape of a man moving towards him just as the sword snapped back into it's fleshlike sheath. His hands wrapped around his discarded cleaver's handle as the man came into view. No matter who it was, Ichise knew it wouldn't end well for him. Be it a peasant, a magistrate, a ronin, or a guard, the sight of him standing next to the dead body would only bring him trouble. He ground his teeth as he realized that there might be two bodies that day. |

((I'm heading for you, Matt.)) Ryu stopped. He smelled blood. A lot of it... 'Ooooohhh!!!! Blood, blood!! I can smell blood! Ooohhh-hohoho!!!! I can almost taste it! Sweet, sweet, red blood! Ahhahaha!!' Yakugan was going crazy inside of Ryu's mind. Ryu quickly shook his head, trying to silence the yowling. The sight he saw was...well, odd. He saw the body of a now headless monk lying on the ground, blood pouring out of his severed neck and two slice wounds on his body. What was even more odd was the sight of a man sliding his leg back on like a sheath. Ryu raised an eyebrow, and looked at the man who currently had a death stare on him. He was prepared to fight. Ryu simply looked back and forth between the man and corpse. "...may I ask what exactly is going on here?" |

Ichise smirked, "You can ask but you'd better not be expecting an answer." He twirled the cleaver that he held in his hand, knocking the dirt from the tip before sliding it into his sheath, but he made sure to keep his hand on it. One false move from the person in front of him and it would be through his heart. He glanced the man before him over a few times, trying to size him up. That's when he realized who it was. Mizura Toriyama Takahashi Ryuku Yagami, a daimyo that was a legend around the area. He'd disappeared from the limelight for a while but that was definately him. Ichise breathed the name, his fingers wrapping tighter around his blade, "I know who you are, now what the hell do you want?" |

Ryu's eyes lost their fun. He narrowed them slightly, and slowly slid his hand onto the hilt of his Izanami. "If you know who I am, then you know what I can do." After a few moments, he let out a sigh and rested his grip. "I'm not here to try and start anything. I was just passing through the village, and..." He about said 'sensed your aura,' but realized how odd that would sound to anyone else. Instead, he continued with, "...happened across this neighborhood. It was only by chance we met...whatever your name is." 'Wait, Ryu! I know who this is! This is Korigoru Ichise! He was the leader of his clan, but I heard a tale of a huge bloodbath within itself. He was suppose to be dead...guess he's far from it. Listen to me closely...you know his leg is false, you've seen that...but so is his right arm, and he has a blade inside his left one. This man isn't one to mess with...let me do it! I can take care of him in no time!!' Yakugan exclaimed. Ryu closed his eyes to concentrate. 'Thanks, but no thanks, Yakugan. I don't even want to fight, but if I must...' He opened them again and stared into the man's eyes. "You're Korigoru Ichise, correct? You already know who I am, so I'll skip the formal introductions. I do not wish to fight, but...tell me what your business was with this holy man. If your intentions are not to my standards, then I will have no choice but to cut you down..." |

Byaku walked into the village calmly. He knew none of the people near him would try anything, and if they did he would cut them down on the spot. He quickly tracked down the house of the man that had hired him. The man had a small house on the outside of the village. He walked into the house and the man greeted him warmly. “Did you kill him?” asked the man. Byaku did not give a spoken reply but simply put the head of the demon on the man’s floor. “Here is your pay” said the man. Byaku found it strange that a man with such a small house could pay his fee for taking down a troublesome demon. He decided to walk through the village and see if he could buy some food. He wasn’t hungry at all, but he enjoyed the taste of the things the humans could cook. On his way through the village, however, Byaku smelled human blood. Normally he would ignore this and keep on his way, but the auras that happened to be coming from that same direction caught his attention. Thinking that two great auras in such a small area might make for an interesting fight he sprinted in that direction. When he arrived he sat on a spot where he thought he could not be seen. He thought the others might sense him but this seemed too good to miss. Byaku watched in anticipation as the owners of the auras looked at each other. Byaku thought this would definitely make an interesting fight. |

Ichise stood there, waiting for Ryu's next move, when there was none he said quietly, "I am no longer Korigoru Ichise, that man is dead. As for my reasons for killing this holy man, well technically I had none. The man who had reason to want this man dead is my employer, I did the job and when I recieve my payment all connections between this man and I will be severed." A light smile touched his lips, "If that isn't up to your standards then go ahead, try to strike me down with that sword of yours. Let's just hope it can kill dead men." His legs slid to just past shoulder width and he moved his weight to the balls of his feet waiting. Ryu said he was a pacifist but Ichise knew that was a lie, the stories of this man's slaughter couldn't have been embelished that much. No, standing before him was a killer, just like Ichise was. |

Ryu stood there for a few silent moments, taking it what Ichise had said. His motives were for employment. That was fin with him. He was in the same boat. But what was really annoying Ryu was te fact that Ichise had called himself a "dead man." Yakugan had said this man's aura was human. Was he lying? No, Yakugan had no reason to do that. Was this Ichise man lying? Or was it just some metaphor? Either way, as Ryu saw him slide into a fighting position, he knew that a battle was inevitable. He sighed, and his hand slid down to Izanami. 'No, no!! Use me!! ME!! Come on, I haven't tasted blood in forever! You owe me! Come on!! I want to fight! Fight!!!!' Yakugan was going crazy. Ryu was trying hard to keep a normal face. 'No! ShutUP! I don't need your help! I don't need your powers! I don't need you at all!' He drew the Izanami, a normal katana, except the blade was just a tad bit longer, and got into his fighting stance; the blade directly diagonally downwards, almost parallel to him, and one foot closely in front of the other, is spine straight. 'YES, YOU NEED ME!!!! YOU'VE ALWAYS NEEDED ME!! I can give you power beyond all others, and you know that! Now draw me! Use me! Let me use your body for this slaughter!!' This time, Ryu couldn't hide the throbbing pain of the yelling in his head. He outwardly flinched, and with his free hand, grasped the side of his head. He slowly, and very quietly, began to mumble," Shutup, shutup, shutup..!!" Then, in one explosive moment, Ryu looked back up, a killing fire in his eyes. "SHUTUP!!!!" He sprinted towards the ready Ichise, who was, to be honest, a little bit off-guard by the whole event in front of him. Ryu began to swing his sword with killing precision at Ichise, trying at every moment to lop off the man's head, or slice his throat, or cause some type of harm to his body, but in his fit of rage, Ryu was more rough and untactical, and his moves were like that of a man waving a flag. |

Ichise was stunned by the fact that Ryu had charged him, drawing his katana and launching himself across the battlefield like a little child who had just picked up a blade for the first time. His slashes were unconcentrated, angry, and unfitting for a daimyo who had slaughtered so many. Ichise bobbed and weaved, dodging all the strikes with relative ease. He waited for an opening, one that occured after Ryu lunged forward, his blade in front of him. Ichise twirled to one side, drawing his cleaver and slashing up at Ryu, but Ryu arched his back and the blade narrowly missed slicing his face off. He and Ryu exchanged blows back and forth but neither of them managed to score a hit, besides a minor cut that Ichise had managed to grace Ryu's forearm with, neither was harmed in the slightest. But then Ryu launched a flurry of attacks that Ichise had not expected, their speed and intensity unlike any he had ever seen before. He managed to block most of them. All but one. The final attack sent the blade almost halfway through his right arm where it stuck. There was no blood, there was no pain, Ichise looked at the wound for only a moment before he ripped his hand back, leaving the wax arm dangling on the edge of the blade, and with two blades he lauched at Ryu. |

About halfway through his rage of exchanges, Ryu was able to break off for a moment and quickly calm himself down. He wouldn't let Yakugan take control of him in such a crude manner...Ryu took control back, and sent another flurry of attacks, now well-planned and with some style. During the exchanges, Ichise was able to land a cut on Ryu's forearm, but Ryu felt nothing, as he was still wearing his leather gauntlets, which was the only thing cut. Withut a moment's hesitation, Ryu kept pushing Ichise back and back, until he finally saw an opening for his right arm. He knew it wouldn't do any pain, but Ryu stabbed anyways, and pulled off Ichise's arm by accident. He took a few steps back, tearing off the wax arm and throwing it to the side. He was about to make some sort of comment, but Ichise had already launed himself back at Ryu, how with two blades blazing. Ryu was feeling himself being the one pushed back now. He had to end this soon. He was getting tired. Then he thought of an idea... After a few more moments of exchanges, Ryu let himself have an opening. It was dangerous, but he let his stomach be open. Ichise took the bait. As soon as Ryu felt pressure of the armor layering his torso, he quickly soun to the right, cupping both of Ichise's arms under one of his, and was able to use the centrifigul force to bring them both to their knees. In the position, Ryu wasn't able to do anthing, but lickily, neither was Ichise. Panting, Ryu said, "Alright, listen...there's no point in this fighting. Now...sheath your weapons...and, er...your arm...before something bad happens...to both of us." |

Byaku watched the fight from his hiding spot. He watched as the man that seemed to be a very experienced samurai launched an attack fitting of a child. The other man was easily dodging every one of the samurai’s attacks. The samurai, Ryu, then seemed to calm down and launch a flurry of attacks that actually seemed to fit the air of experience he had put on. The other man still managed to dodge most of the attacks. One, however, landed on the guy’s arm and the wax came off. The samurai then let himself have an opening so he could bring them both to their knees. “A very interesting fight, indeed” said Byaku. |

Knocked on the ground, Ichise gritted his teeth. Ryu had taken them both down, making them unable to move at all. He began to regurgitate the needle that he had in the back of his throat, aiming his mouth at one of Ryu's eyes when Ryu said, "Alright, listen...there's no point in this fighting. Now...sheath your weapons...and, er...your arm...before something bad happens...to both of us." Ichise narrowed his eyes, "You were the one who attacked me first you bastard and as soon as you let me up, I'll slice your fucking head off." The needle was in position, all he had to do was retch and the thing would fly into Ryu's eye, then it was just the matter of cutting him in two. |

Ryu opened his mouth to retort, but was cut short by Yakugan. 'Ryu, stop! I sense something...He's been doing something with his throat. He might have another hidden trick...' Yakugan warned. Ryu narrowed his eyes. He had noticed it too, but had chalked it up to nerves. Now he realized what it was. He had seen certain ninjas perfect this art during his travels. Hiding weaponry in their throats, able to bring it back in time of need. Ryu had found ways of countering, though. Ryu slowly let his grip go of Ichise. As soon as his arms loosened, he felt Ichise turning his head. As he expected, he saw something slender and silver shoot from his mouth. If it had not been for the sun making a glare, he probably wouldn't have seen it...but he did. Ryu was quick enough to dode his head to the side and, in the same swift movement, brought his blade to the side of Ichise's head. Glaring with dark eyes, Ryu grumbled, "Now...get up. And leave." |

Ichise smiled, "Good, good, you're the first person I've ever met who has been able to dodge that. However, I must say that I hadn't been aiming for you." Behind the two of them there was a small grunt of pain, the needle had stuck Byaku through the thigh. (Totally painful but not fatal by any stretch of the mind.) "It appears that we had a visitor during our little skirmish and your head just happened to be in the way. Good thing that you have quick reflexes, isn't it?" he kept smiling his crocodile smile to throw Ryu off balance. "Now you can either let me up and hope that I don't kill you when your back is turned or we can sit here and wait for our peeping Tom to escape or try to kill us." His eyes narrowed, "Your call." |

Ryu narrowed his eyes. He felt a killer instinct in Ichise, but...he also felt like he could trust him in this situation. After pausing for a few moments, Ryu stood back upstraight, pulling his blade away and sheathing it. With one final glance at Ichise, he turned around and started heading towards the stranger that Ichise had actually been aiming at. |

Byaku could see the fight clearly. One of them looked like he would throw up and suddenly something shot out of his mouth. The other however managed to dodge the needle. That was unlucky. Byaku was too caught up in the fight to realize that the needle was actually heading for him, and by the time he noticed he was barely able to dodge. The needle ended up through his thigh and the grunt he had given had surely done even more to betray his position. He could see that Ryu had started to walk toward him. Byaku wanted to fight this man. Byaku jumped down from his hiding spot. He walked out into the open and started heading for Ryu. What was strange was that this time it was not only KageHime that wanted to fight but KyodaiMizuRyu as well. Byaku looked at the man who would be his opponent hoping that his hidden swords would give him an advantage. |

Ichise watched as Ryu walked over to the newcomer. There was going to be a fight, he was certain of that but he was also certain that he was not going to be a part of it. He sheathed his cleaver and then picked up his arm, placing it carefully over his blade. The slice in it was deep, he'd have to bandage it so people wouldn't ask questions. Then without another thought as to what would happen to Ryu and the other man, he slipped into an alleyway and walked away. It wasn't his problem. It wasn't his job. And unless he was getting paid for it, it wasn't worth his time. |

Ryu stopped a few yards away from the man, and watched with curiosity as he flipped out into the open. That's when Ryu's eyes became wide. This man wasn't human. He sported unatural cololred hair, and the color of his eyes didn't help with that. Not only that, but even Ryu could sense this man's aura. But it was so strange. He felt a humanistic side to it, but the aura felt like that of a full-blooded demon. Just as Yakugan had said. 'Yakugan, who is this man..?' Ryu asked. 'I have no idea, but I've figured out the aura problem. See, if someone were to sense our aura, it would be the same thing almost. They would sense your human aura, but it would be mixed in with my demonic aura. It would feel almost like a half-demon's, but not quite. Meaning that if two auras are combined into one aura, but not the same conciousness, that will happen. Which I think explains this man. I believe he's a half demon. He must be in posession of some strong demonic tool, though, because it's enough to envelope and mix with his to make him seem like a full demon. But I can still sense the human blood in him. At this point though, it wouldn't matter. Treat him as if he were a full-blooded daiyoukai*, alright? We can't mess around with this ma--- Wait...I know that aura! No...there are two! Aahahaha!! He's weilding two demon blades, almost on the level as me! KyoudaiMizuRyu, the Great Water Dragon, and the Shadow Princess herself, Kagehime! Hahaha!! Oh, it's been a while since I've met these two...supposively lovers before they were trapped into individual swords. It was said that if they ever met again, it would be the end of the world. Huh. Fat chance on that. I could take them both. Ryu, I think this once, you should let me handle things. I know way more bout the situation that you do.' Ryu listened to Yakugan's explanation and pleading. He gritted his teeth over the situation. Maybe he should let Yakugan take over this once. He knew who the opponent was, and would know what to do. Also, if this being in front of him was as strong as Yakugan said, even without the two swords, Ryu had no chance. He sighed. "It looks like I have no choice..." he said out loud. Ryu reached down and grasped the handle of Yakugan. He instantly felt the surge of demonic energy. Yakugan had been pent up for too long... Ryu drew Yakugan. There was something odd about the blade, however. It wasn't there. What was distracting about the situation at this point wasn't the lack of a blade, but what was happening to Ryu. As soon as he drew the hilt from the sheath, a transformation began, along with a super-increase of power and size of his aura, along with the transfer over to a demonic aura. It was even starting to pick up the wind arund him. Ryu's black hair began to turn to a blue color, and from his hands and mouth protruded claws and fangs. Around his eyes began to turn darker, and soon his eyelids were black, which accented his now-red eyes. Ryu..no, Yakugan...stood up straight. A smirk played onto his face. All was silent and calm for a moment. Suddenly, Yakugan threw his hand up into the air, holding the handle of his sword up, and gave out a loud battle cry. In the scream, his now visible aura wrapped around his arm and the handle. But also, it seemed to be going INTO the handle. A shaft of energy and wind began to rpotrude from the hilt, and soon, after Yakugan let his arm fall to his side, there was a now a blade, made of his aura. The blade was sparatic with motion, always changing with spikes of his aura and the energy of the wind circling into it. Yakugan smirked. "Come on out, you two. I know you're in there somewhere," he said with his demonic voice ringing out into the open. |

Ichise heard Ryu's voice come from behind him, but it was different ... harsher he supposed. It said, 'Come on out, you two. I know you're in there somewhere.' Ichise smiled, oh yeah he was out there but he sure as hell wasn't planning to come back. Without even bothering to turn back he yelled, "Fuck you!" And with his middle finger raised he continued through the alleyway and into a throng of people. If they wanted to fight him, they would have to slaughter dozens of people. And Ichise knew that if they really wanted him dead, a hundred innocent lives wouldn't be enough to slow them down. |

Byaku watched the man in front of him as he changed personalities completely. Byaku could sence the demon and could only guess that the powerfull aura was coming from the sword. he only needed to guess for a few seconds however, as his two blades confirmed his hunch and told him the name of the sword. "So you're Yakugan?" Byaku said, "I've heard stories about you." Byaku had no intention of talking, however, and dove right in. He sprinted towards Yakugan and swung with his claws. the attack was too simple and was easily dodged. "You have no hope of defeating me without your swords, half demon!" yelled Yakugan. "As you wish." Byaku held out his hands and simply said "come KageHime, KyodaiMizuRyu" The two demon Blades materialized in his hands and the battle truly began. |

Yakugan's face lit up in a devilish smirk, his glowing fangs gleaming in the sunlight. "Now this is more like it!" On his final word, he swung the aura blade down. Before the blade clashed, its essence seemed to be wind-like and unsolid. But as soon as the blade hit Byaku's, it turned into a buzzsaw, the energy instantly becoming solid, and the spikes became shorter, and more rapid. The sound of grinding steel could be heard as sparks flew everywhere. Yakugan's face lit up. In their lock, he threw his head back and laughed menichally. "Yaahahaha!!! This is what I LVE for!!!!" Taking a leap back, Yakugan prepared for the next volley of attacks. He, and also Byaku, rushed forwards, and began an almost invisible flurry of strikes. Up, down, left, right, and every direction in between, their blades clashed. Guarding, striking, trying to nail a cut or slice on their opponent. The demonic volley lasted but a few short minutes. Though Yakugan was holding back, he felt himself having to keep up with Byaku. Maybe a half demon was just as good as a full-blood. 'No,' Yakugan thought. 'He is simply channeling through the demon swords. Nothing more...' Yakugan wished to end this. Yet again, Yakugan leaped back. But instead of leaving a few moments of reprieve before entering the next duel, Yakugan instead raised his blade above his head once again. Letting out a yell, he began collecting demonic energy into the blade. It began to glow brighter, get bigger, and grow stronger. With a smirk, Yakugan shoved the energy blade into the ground. Unbeknownst to Byaku, 6 large orbs of Yakugan's black and blue energy formed behind him. With an even larger smirk, Yakugan yelled, "MALICE VOLLEY!!!!" Suddenly, each of the orbs began to shoot out a stream of thin energy beams towards Byaku. |

Byaku had no idea what a "Malice Volley" was and was completely oblivious to the the energy beams shooting towards him. fortunately for Byaku his KyodaiMizuRyu warned him in time. Byaku barely had time to point the great dragon towards the ground. "Fly" he screamed. the moment the word left Byaku's lips water shot out of KyodaiMizuRyu, hitting the ground and propelling Byaku into the air. Byaku pointed his sword at Yakugan and issued his sword another command. "Flow" once again the water sword reacted to Byaku's command shooting another much more concentrated and more powerful jet of water. the jet hit the spot where Yakugan jad been and Byaku thought the fight might be over. he saw the crater in the ground and thought he might have won. his sopes however were crushed when he realized he could still sense Yakugan. "I guess just one of my swords isn't enough to crush you" said Byaku before he launched himself at Yakugan once more. |
