Such a good episode!
I felt bad for Miki. I know what she's going through.

There's always a reason why people do the things they do. We got to see that in Miki's case it was psychological abuse by a teacher and bullying by her classmates.
Please don't feed the trolls!

Glad she didn't kill herself, but man that teacher is pretty f'ed up. To get students so twisted that they literally wish for the death of a classmate, a classmate who just a few days ago was a friend, is pretty messed up. Those classmates are pretty stupid too, who would bully a friend just so they could be on the good side of a teacher who will break kids arms.

What has intrigued me most about this arc is that Miki was trying to give Yuzuyu to her parents as a replacement before she did what she had been planning all along. I...

Miki should have said her parents, I am sure they would believe her, since she used to be a good girl and all, but after seeing her change they started to think that she was a 'rebel'

True, but at first she really didn't want to bother her parents who were sacrificing to send her there and she tried to deal with it herself, and by the time she realized it was out of control it was to late and the damage done.

There isn't even a principal to report the home room teacher. It would've been better if the sad music didn't sound that crappy. The music score can definitely be better.

Quite a sad episode actually, but we do got a better picture to why Miki is behaving that way... good that it not turned out into a suicide and that in the end everything worked out fine!

Lets see what's next!

A late critic here I guess ? I should just voice in :
Miki - Mom, Dad....I want to die..
Dad - Dumb bitch let me punch you.. This does not seem right to me... I cannot put my finger on it but SOMETHING seems wrong.
~~
Now let us she what went wrong here ? Miki is A+ student got in good school living a nice life. She notices a teacher beating up a student for cheating ...now I am not sure what rules apply to code of conduct but hitting a student is now punishable by law, even if it wasn't the student was trashed so badly he got a broken arm.. so it seems fair to say that guy got no guts to say/oppose to the teacher ? There must be a way to report this.
In the end I really felt bad for Miki.
I can safely put the blame both on the homeroom teacher and the parents here.
It gets hard to live up to expectations and she bottled up her emotions leading to this scenario.

I was wondering the thought process of this as well.. as Miki turned to a bad girl she want to put Yuzuyu in her place to make her parents happy is what I think.
I don't know why people write that they are approachable persons,
if you were you wouldn't be on MAL.

It was quite obvious she wasn't going to kill herself when she started the attempt with Yuzuya still there.

The events that led to Miki contemplating suicide were a too outlandish for me. Maybe they should have spent a little more time on it.

The more and more I watch this series, it screams modern Japanese family issues. Hell Japanese school issues as well. This is quite heavy with drama, more then I had originally thought it'd have. Which is interesting but something feels off about it, can't put my finger on it.

Well, Miki's actions are a little more justified now, still, she's an immature teenager who didn't know how to deal with a basic situation like this. The teacher was indeed terrible, but if she just told someone it would have been over in a minute.

There's no way I'd buy how over the top that was, I really hope that girl gets out of the picture because the episodes with her were far weaker than the previous ones.

that felt forced, for a lack of a better word. everything was just so over-the-top, that it was hard to believe and get emotionally attached to miki. lowering my rating to a 5 (should've been a 4 but shouta's subplot made up for it).

So that's what happened, it all started with corrupt teacher. Knowing Asian schools' unwritten rules tho reporting him won't mean shit and everyone (besides her parents) won't believe him and keep pushing to the dark anyway. Nice resolution of her arc btw.
