| Saito's attitude towards captured pilot somehow reminded me of Kodai's behaviour after seeing Gamillian soldier in the first series. Although Kodai was way more mature. I wonder why they still haven't done anything about Space Cavaliers disturbing crewmen's duties. |

| Wow, I love Yamato, but this episode was not strong. Suddenly I feel that in addition to using a ship from the past, it might be agreeable to use corporal punishments from the past as well. A flogging for Saito. POW torture is fine, but a truth serum? Unconscionable! Oh, and it might kill him if we use it now... because we tortured him first? Yuki: "The prisoner will disclose information once he and Sado-sensei are drunk." Kodai: "Very good. Let's entrust the drunken Sado alone to accurately remember anything he says. Do not record or monitor them in any way. We must also entrust Sado alone to keep guard of the prisoner." The prisoner escapes. Kodai: "Allowing him to escape was my plan all along! Oops, I hope no one points out that I didn't take any precautions to prevent him from injuring or killing my crew on his way out." The prisoner's fate: a tragedy of a man unable to make up his mind. |
