| I'm reforming the thread Should Mion or Shion get Keiichi? created by misha1509 in order to add to it. I've also expanded it to involve more characters as well. In my personal opinion, I have always supported Keiichi x Rena as the most viable pairing. They're two of my favorite characters and they have a good synergy working. Obviously the bat x billhook is also a great weapon combo. Pertaining to Mion vs. Shion: Now obviously Shion states that she is deeply enamored with Satoshi and one might wonder what case there is for a Shion x Keiichi match. Well, I recently just re-watched Meakashi-hen and noticed that Mion confessed to Shion that she actually loved Satoshi as well. Mion even stated that she was prepared to kill Oryou if she resisted. This is also why Mion underwent the Distinction in addition to Shion. In the end, Mion stayed quiet about her love for Satoshi in order to support Shion who had already publicly expressed her love. One year later when Keiichi comes along, those roles are reversed. In the case of Keiichi, Shion found out about Mion's feelings for him and decided to support her. However, Keiichi very much reminded her of Satoshi and the feelings she had hidden away inside. Shion was infatuated with Keiichi, but since she supported Mion she didn't act on her feelings. Of course she still loved Satoshi, but she couldn't help but also feel something for Keiichi. In light of the circumstances here, it is evident that both Mion and Shion loved both Satoshi and Keiichi at some point. I still advocate the standard couplings, but I think that a Keiichi x Shion and Satoshi x Mion pairings are more possible than one would initially think. |

| Up until around the end of the first series, I would have said Mion. That ending, along with the buildup to it, was more than enough to change my mind. My vote is for Rena. It's not over 'till you swing that thing down. *Cue that adorable, shocked face from Rena* But I don't want to! |

| The forum needed a bump. :D I enjoy both Keiichi/Mion and Keiichi/Rena, but I have to say that I prefer him being with Rena. It just feels better, and seems more canon to me (besides the fact that Mion has confessed her love for him). |

| You know, when reading Watanagashi-hen in the VN, Shion x Keiichi seemed like a pretty good pair. After they first met in Angel Mort, the two went shopping and Shion was teasing K1. They made a good couple, but that was when Keiichi still thought Shion was Mion in disguise. I'm sure Shion actually had feelings for Keiichi, but decided to take the backseat for Mion. It's a bit of a shame, since Mion is quite awkward with love. |
