Hakuryuukou is translated wrong in every version of the Highschool DxD New Subtitles. The translation for Hakuryuukou is NOT "English Dragon". The correction translation is "Emperor of The White Dragon".

In an interview Ichiei Ishibumi, the writer of the light novels that this series is based on was asked what the corrected English translation was for Sekiryuutei, and the corrected translation is "The Emperor of the Red Dragon", while the correct translation for Hakuryuukou is "Emperor of The White Dragon".

Not only is the translation wrong, but it makes absolutely no sense to called Vali the English Dragon, besides the fact that the name Albion has English roots, Vali and Albion have absolutely nothing to do with English, England or the English World. Ddraigs name is actually German, no one calls Ise the German dragon. It makes just as much sense to call Vali the English Dragon, as it does to call Ise the German Dragon.

So please stop doing the subtitles wrong.

If you want a proper list of the translation terms visit http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=High_School_DxD and read through the translation notes. The translator for the light novels there is very thorough.

Who did the translation I wonder? Is it the official translation? Of the anime, or the light novel?
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

I do not know who did the translation, what I do know is that the word used for "The Emperor of the White Dragon" in the light novels and in the anime is exactly the same, so there should not be a difference in the translation between the light novel and in the anime.

I'm really wondering who the subbers are.

Especially since:
haku = white
ryuu = dragon
kou = emperor

Hakuryuukou is literally the exact word that is said in the anime. I see people using "English Dragon" everywhere in the HS DxD forums, reviews, wikis, etc because of the incorrect translation.
