| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Is out on awesome BVAW =). Hayashida surely takes her time, never minds Volume 19 is the last one. Well, she must have a plan. What we learned today: Nikaido just told Kaiman everything she discovered about him during the last year, yet Kaiman's head didn't literally exploded in a bloody fountain, also no eye/nose-bleeding and no ripped off skin, which is a great sign. Finally a meeting with Haru, cut off on a cliffhanger. Probably next chapter will be centered around someone else (more Ebisu & Dokuga?) to prolong the uncertainty about if Haru is willing to share Store's Kitchen Knife (also I believe she should have no problems lending that thing). On other fronts: zombie Shin wins, Noi is nowhere to be seen at all, I would have been worried, but I believe those devil tumor embracing bottles will definitely play their part, so Noi is still not out of the picture for now. Distorted Central Department Store kinda reminds me of Kasukabe's mansion from Volume 3 before the clean up, it must be of a similar nature. I love it how it seems all major magical twists in Dorohedoro were actually previously foreshadowed somewhere in the story in a way you wouldn't think it's a big deal before it suddenly is (like resurrecting from a head, Kitchen Knife's significance, etc.). |

| I'm not sure that Haru would give away uber devil-killing knives to strangers so easily. Will be interesting how that's handled. I also wonder where Noi went. If she managed to run away, I'm surprised Shin didn't chase her. Plus the hammer bashed her skull in. Super smoke bottles or not I think that'd knock her out, but I didn't see her on the floor. Did Ai take her? :o I love Kaiman and Nikaido, and their interactions in the last few chapters have been really sweet and nostalgic. But yeah, I hope the next chapter has other characters too. We haven't seen Dokuga for months and I really miss him! Q is so brilliant like that! When I started reading Dorohedoro, the first few volumes felt like random filler, but on re-reads I've started to appreciate more and more how each of the early stories set up the atmosphere of the world and taught us important points in digestible chunks. And yeah, many of them become very prominent later. |

| For a story that's always chaotic, I agree that it's really cool to see a lot of things make sense as I read on~ It'd be great if Haru would just hand over Store's Knife but considering how important that thing is, it'll take more than demanding for it to get it. |
