I laugh a lot when I saw this movie for the first time. Is this normal? For all its actors and famous director I saw the movie more of a comedy than anything else.

The cherry on the cake for me was seeing Mifune and Nakadai together. I haven't seen Nakadi before (I saw this before Harakiri) but he left a great impression over me.

this is probably my favorite mifune/kurosawa movie i enjoyed this more then some of the others still an classic must see for all cinema fans
I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

I have watched and researched Yojimbo rather extensively as it was the topic of my end of year exam for my second year at university, and I found there was always something new to take from it and appreciate it for. Definitely one of Kurosawa's and Mifune's best, rich in comedy as it is in symbolism and excitement. Seven Samurai remains my favourite, though.
