| Not really. The plot of Star Trek V is entirely different and the Engineers apparently wanted to destroy humanity because it's development disappointed them. It's also possible that it was planned by a splinter group. Either way, that's completely different from planning to harvest the genetic material of humanity. If anything, Jupiter Ascending is similar to it. |
