| Now this is a long shot. I was watching Michiko e Hatchin episode 9 after Rita and Hana were going to the statue and I came upon the scene when they're walking in the desert along the road and there is a small guitar(idk if you would call it a riff) playing, here it is 14:16 - 14:25. And I swear I've heard it somewhere else, I've barely been able to watch any more of the show I've been thinking about it too much. I think I heard it on another anime's OST .I barely listen to any other music and it's just too similar so I'm thinking another anime's OST. But I can't figure it out, I've been putting those 6 seconds on repeat for like the whole day. I can't find any info on the OST online to figure out the composer or whatever. MAL says Watanabe Shinichiro is in charge of music for this anime even though he's usually a director. I've looked at all the things he's directed and don't think it has to do with any of them. Might be connected to Masaka Yuasa. Possibly Kaiba. And I would really appreciate it if you could take a listen, you might know where it's from. |

It's been a while since I've watched both Michiko to Hatchin and Kaiba, and as a fan of both, that one little bit of music totally hit home for me. | Yes the song really reminds me of something from one of Yuasa Masaki's works and he did work on Michiko to Hatchin. And it could be from Kaiba, but at least from that song I don't hear that strong guitar from my clip. I'm kinda, not really, maybe sure that the guitar was the same in the other song I'm thinking about. I might have to wait until I rewatch Kaiba. But thanks still, you might have solved it. |
