| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I've been hitting my stride w/ the series, it seems. The "infiltration" from a couple of chapters back is a give away, but the thing about Ken's value or whatever "he amounted to"-- some coincidence that was. ;p Let's see if I can hint at or clue in on another title/subject for the following chapter. XD This chapter was way better than the last to be sure. The sheer animosity/enmity Azai felt for Nobunaga was already a treat in itself. And ironic how the roles have been reversed. Ken who is so used to serving his lord's meals on a silver platter is now at risk of being the one presented on that very same platter. I'm loving it! XD Unfortunately, I'm sure I'd only be disappointed in the next chapter as Kaeda would likely save Ken from this dire predicament. Seriously, where's your genius culinary prowess now, huh, Ken?! I'd rather you use them to get yourself out of this hole you've dug yourself in. Hah! |

| Huh, I felt opposite I guess, personally, I was sort of disappointed in the chapter both in Nobunaga and Ken. Nobunaga just uses him and leaves him there, to me the "all he amounted to" - meant "how much can I use him" from this chapter. And Ken - well he should have been able to figure some way to get out rather than just lying flat on his face the whole chapter, like used his knife to cut himself loose or something- like something other than playing dead. Maybe he will offer to make his own last meal. lol Or maybe he just was thinking too modern where we save people and back in times like that - that was pretty rare... Ken's just not cut out to be cutthroat. lol I understand the brother in law's anger, to him Nobunaga is turning on him and running amuck in his lands / going back on his word. And I like the sister blowing off her power hungry brother who is being a jerk. Not that I would expect someone like Nobunaga to care about a sister or a chef rather than his ambition, but still... Well it's a pretty realistic portrayal of a warrior / dictator etc ... I just prefer characters to act heroic. Maybe Ken will get out and go off on his own - abandonning Nobunaga to his fate just like he was just abandonned, I know I sure would not return to his camp / employ after that - in fact I would make sure the guy who left me went down big time or at least never look back once - but I think Ken is nicer than me. Of course I know Nobunaga is more along the lines of the ends justify the means and I get that too. And I know Ken is thinking the same thing in a different way, that Nobunaga would be good for his country etc. But yes I think you are right that that ninja girl will probably save Ken. added I'm probably going to be trolled again by Nobunaga though - or rather Ken is, that seems to be the way the guy treats him, like he seems bad but then he's just trolling. |
