| It's not for everyone but I really enjoyed it. Kuromitsu is indeed a very good looking. Reminds me a lot of Nyotengu from DOA. 7/10. |

| That was a wild ride but somehow lost me along the way. The first 2 episodes were great, then we got a time skip so I expected some world building and with that many new characters there has to be some development. Yes? No, most of them are one dimensional. The silent protagonist might work well with good secondary character(s) or at least with a decent villain. Here we have none of this. Kuro is so OP he won almost every time. He lost once, but the enemy was like: "lol bro, I will be back". Then you have Kuon that somehow wanted to kill Kuro during this whole time but he did not even try? What is more he even saved him! So the crazy doctor was working for the Red Emperor, who was Benkei manipulated by Kuromitsu to get Kuro? Shouldnt the first assassin from the 4th episode kill Kuro when he had a chance? Or even capture him and get him back to the doctor? So there is resistance to the Red Emperor because he is a tyrant and then the Red Emperor sends some alien-looking like troops to kill the regular people? But in the later parts his troops are only human-like? This was really disjointed. What was the deal with the creepy guy with Turttle shell on his back? He got oneshotted like some fodder. There wer 5 villains and none of them was given any time to shine. The ending was decent. The beginning too, but the rest was filler. Could have worked as a movie maybe. Good premise, bad execution. |
