| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This felt like a recap episode with the meeting of Hero and Demon King. Nice to see that squid monstrosity from previously. Is it just me or did it get bigger in this scene? Also nice to see Female Knight does what she does best: kicking ass from the flashback. But ya, not much else to see this week..mostly recap scenes. Edit: Just realized this was episode 9.5...not episode 10. |

| Yeah, it's a recap episode considered episode 9.5. Because the show technically took a break this week and Episode 10 doesn't air until next week. |

| It was a nice recap before the last 3 eps. It gives more details to what happened in last 9 eps. with explanations by the two narrators. It's time for climax next ep.? ED was beautiful but the title was not listed. |

| lololol, the anime is already a recap of the novel. How the hell did they manage to compress the story even further. This adaptation continues to be one big joke. |

Well, if Maoyuu earns enough money through the blurays and such, both a second season for Maoyuu and a third season for S & W will be possible. Of course, that means fan service so that the fans will buy such things. I'm not an advocate to support such things but under the conditions that studios are constrained by, Maoyuu could be an exception. |

| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| I watched it because of Hayami Show's amazing voice, cuz' he is the one of 2 narrators guiding you through this episode. Also because of the music, it's beautiful. |

There need to be more novels/manga to act as raw materials for the new season first. Otherwise the story might veer off into some weird direction. That almost never ends well. |

| It is not really a full recap. The focus is mainly on three things: 1. The overall geopolitical situation, particularly the battle to take the island and the conversion of the Open Gate City into a co-habitation zone for human and mazoku 2. Technology brought by Maou to human world 3. I AM HUMAN speech given by the Elder Maid in Maou disguise The new elements are the two narrators and the new ED. All the rest is recycled from previous episodes. |

Maybe not as a filler, but they should definitely have them. Just so that whenever I'm watching one such anime, its MAL threads aren't full of people who don't get a thing and come up with ludicrous predictions because they didn't understand half of the plot. So yeah, this was a recap for dummies. I didn't need one myself, but it can definitely come in handy to some people. And that speech almost made me cry again. OTL |

| They managed to pretty much sum up the 9 episodes in one episode they bundled it quite nicely actually, though if you were following the story pretty well this recap isn't really needed! |
