| I'm expecting this to be pretty good seeing the effort they put into the last special Episode of Nami. I think if the Story is done right it would be very good. Not really a spoiler basically stuff shown in trailer... Even if it's not great as a one piece fan knowing the few things about it at the moment, I'm going to enjoy the watch anyway. What do you think? |

| I'm sure it will be pretty good. They are saying this story will also take place in the new world this is actually a new story that is supposed to be set before Film Z events at a place called Cannon Town. And it looks like Luffy might actually get to meet up with Shanks which is interesting. I wonder how the actual anime series will treat this because the Shanks reunion has been a long time coming and a lot of people are lookin' forward to it. Just hope the canon story doesn't get all fucked up with so much fillerish happening. *edit* was just thinking I doubt Shanks and Luffy will meet. Perhaps this hand island is a place Shanks visited or something. At least we will probably get to see this a lot sooner than Film Z which will take 3-6 months to actually release on DVD then another 2-3 weeks for subtitles. |

| I don't think it would be classed as canon just like the movies aren't. I'd say it's certain that Luffy and Shanks won't meet again in this special, it'll be a big moment in the story when they do. At the same time if Luffy meets up with Coby again which seems a lot more likely, I could see that they may have to include it in the canon somewhere... I think I'm thinking about it too much... also "Like with the film itself, One Piece scribe Eichiro Oda supervised the story and production of Hand Island Adventure (Hand Island no Boken)." So with him watching over the story you'd be pretty safe assuming there won't be anything that would muck up the story down the line... and also gives me reassurance it will be a decent plot. |

| Well people consider Strong world to be canon because of Konjiki no shiki and the marines that it showed, that were from the show. Same with Z, with Aokiji, Garp, Coby and helmeppo. If this special shows how Luffy got his scar, which hasn't been shown in the anime yet(for obvious reasons like has been stated) then it isn't that much of a stretch to consider it canon. Oda having part in it makes it seem more so. Also Coby and Helmeppo's design which is probably going to be the same as the rest of the show. |

| Watched the first 5min, seems pretty cool, but i won't watch the rest because i won't be able to fully understand what is said. Guess i must wait for the subs, let's see if they get it done in 1month or so. |

| It was a good special, I like how all the flashbacks were changed. It was worth having almost 4/10ths be flashbacks. I almost thought they changed Kizaru's VA. |

| It was a little boring. Probably cause I couldn't understand anything they said. I like the quality. Coby and Luffy didn't really meet. I love the fashion show in the beginning, and how they left Zoro in the end. For the credits- they left out Brook and Usopp!!! I mean, who cares about Brook, but USOPP!!!! :O Are they going to be having more specials for the rest of the characters? That would be awesome. Even if the episodes themselves aren't the best plot wise, and they add no value to the story- they are still awesome. I need my One Piece fix as quick as I can get it! :D |
| It would be disastrous if Luffy and Shanks met without it being in the original storyline. I won't watch the movie at all. Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes for the subs to come out?! This is the first time I'm waiting to see a One Piece movie so I don't really know. I hope it's less than 1 month(which pokecenter mentioned). I just saw Episode of Nami and want to see some good One Piece stuff as soon as I can! >.< |

| Just fyi they're some worthy English subtitles floating around now, just google 'torrent eng sub hand island luffy', that's how I found them at least. This was a pretty fun special, definitely liked it better than Nami's episode just because it's original. (and Nami's episode even skipped part of the Arlong fight grrr!) Just hope they stop all these specials and movies now and focus on the damned anime because they've been dropping the ball big time especially with Fishman Island, it's pathetic and disrespectful to see such an amazing story get butchered by a huge studio like Toei. |
