Agree with what everyone else said.

I knew they were going to rebuild El Liston, and I love it when the manga ties things up with the name so fittingly ^^ The four cats on the roof, lol.

Fabulous series. I really, really enjoyed it. 9/10

Yeah, the last 2 volumes implicated they were going to be rebuilding El Liston and, although predictable, it was pretty cool how it actually came true.

I loved the series. It was pretty inspiring especially how the characters worked through their obstacles. I hope I'm going to encounter more stories as good as this one. :D

Aah, I loved it so much. I'm so sad that it ended. This is one of the few times when reading manga where I wish there were more. ;_; I've been rooting for KeitoxKouichi since the beginning, so I was so happy that they're getting married. El Liston too, having it be rebuilt was a wonderful, wonderful decision.

Great read. Cat Street ranks as one of my favorite shoujo manga ever. <3

Although it felt rushed on certain parts, overall I'm glad to have read this series. I felt drawn to the characters and enjoyed their interactions as they overcame their inner scars. My only wish was that this series could have been twice as long with the relationships developed at a pace with more drama.

Overall a great story.

Just finished re-reading. I still find this story touching, I really wish it was published in English so I could own it. I'm really tempted to buy it even though I don't understand a word of Japanese.

The ending pages are just wonderful. The character development in this manga is something else.

I can't help but wonder what happened to Kouichi's company and its 120 employees

loved the manga overall, especially how it didn't drag out the dramatic plot lines to the point of melodrama the way so many shoujo mangas/anime do.

was also rooting for Kouichi, but really didn't think he had a chance until she started dating Rei first, and even then I still didn't think his odds were great.

liked that Taiyou became an elementary school teacher, it suits him perfectly :)

I absolutely loved this manga! it definitely made me part of it, and I honestly could identify... I don't know, is it something a lot of people feel? I think the name fits perfectly. Stray cats? Yes... maybe not so much, in the end, but oh well.

I'm going to miss it so much! It made me cry at least five times XD it's definitely going to my fav list, I take so much of it with me!! yey Cat Street!

I loved the pacing of the storyline too.
But I was hoping to see more lovey-dovey scenes between kouichi and keito, though. They showed the scene once where they're about to kiss and it was awesome, but I dunno.. I wanted more. Awesome manga, though. Loved the ending. =D

Yes, I totally agree. It felt rushed in some parts. I don't really know if I love it or not, because in the middle that time shift was so suddenly, but in the end everything was all right and the characters were good developed.

"So, overall a great history."

Great manga with a great story. The only thing is I can't really say I liked either of the main male leads.

My favorite part of this manga is how the romance ended. I actually wasn't able to see it coming unlike most manga.

The only thing I don't get is Rei's feelings. It made it seem like he loved her then just through those feelings out the window with out problem.

I was hesitant to read this at first Because it's "different" from my usual shoujo reads but once I started I became hooked.. I cried so much and related too how Keito and the others felt, very moving manga.. unlike other shoujos that revolve around just a couple and their growing feelings.. Cat Street tells the story of a group of four friends with their own scars and their own purpose.. T^T it reminded me of Glass Mask for the first few chapters (the rivalry with acting) but it became so much more, I'm so happy she ended up with Kouichi.. he was very unique to me, as one of the protagonists he never came across as a "bishie", (he is very good looking though) but he isn't all looks and charm, his somewhat reseved personality draws you to him and I took him very seriously. There are so many memorable pages but here are a few favorites

The legendary four were legendary in true words. I have decided. This is my favorite manga now, totally worthy for a place in my top 5 list. It's awesome and just so relatable. Each character has his own backstory... The bronze cats scene gave me goosebumps... LOVE IT!

And not to mention, it's easy to get attached to the characters. After this all ended, my heart was telling me not to part with the characters, Keito, Kouichi, Rei, Momiji, and Taiyou, even more, every one of them, I don't want to be apart of them, but like everyone else, I must move on to my life. This manga is very inspirational, I, who didn't really care about anything, feel like I was very motivated all of the sudden, really, this is such a great manga, I regretted putting this down in the past, AHH I WISH I COULD'VE CONTINUED ON FOREVER, but oh well.

Oh edit: Not to mention the comedy is great!

I just finished reading cat street (rereading, actually). I loved it! It was touching and inspirational, and I love all the characters. Even the "bad guys" that I started out hating are actually good people. and keiko really has grown :). I'm so happy she ended up with kouichi, though from the beginning I wouldn't have guessed that. I wish there was a real El Liston-like school, where there's no grades but just dreams to follow..

There's one thing that bothers me, though. I hate misunderstandings in manga which lead to lots of drama and stuff (I like how in koukou debut how they are so honest with each other). I wanted to kill Chika when she lied to Kouichi and they got separated for two years. So its my wish that Kouichi eventually finds out the truth about that. Even though they're married I reaaaally want them to clear up that misunderstanding. I wish the mangaka wrote that in :(. I guess I'm just a weirdo :P Am I the only one who feels this way?

I read this in one sitting. :3 So yeah, it was very good. The themes were excellent and I love how they made four strong characters all with different goals. The main female was very likable and fun to watch. I liked watching her act because she was talented.

Main complaints: Like above person said, the misunderstandings stood out and made the story kind of messy. I also didn't love the pacing at times. A two year time skip just because of one misunderstanding? Pls no. I also didn't like how they put in so much unnecessary drama near the end (with the couple who kidnapped Keiko. I think a successful storyline should have the climax/conflicts in the first two thirds of the series while calming down near the end. One more thing...Didn't like how Kouichi used up all his money for El Liston. That's kind of unrealistic.

Things to praise: I like how all the love drama was handled. Like, with the Rei --> Keiko --> Kouichi love triangle, they handled it surprisingly well without any big melodramatic scenes. Like I said before, everyone was well written. The Keiko/Kouichi relationship developed well. As someone who's struggling to find their dream, I found it relatable and helpful to read this series as there were a lot of good life lessons presented.

Some bits were a bit messy but not too bad overall. I rated it as fine although I didn't find this series to be anything special. Not sure who my favorite characters is either but the drama had a good amount of detail in it that was interesting.

This is so good... SO damnnnnnnnn good. Oh lord!
Just in time when I'm sick of all the other teen shoujo manga's, I found this rare gem.

The story is so simple yet so deep, that I actually can't believe I was reading a shoujo romance manga for a second because honestly this is the first time a romance manga has affected me so much, I was moved almost in tears at their loneliness and their ambitions that i had to pause and reflect on my own life.

Cat street is more than just "ROMANCE", It's about discovering yourself, standing back up, learning that you're not alone, aiming for your dreams and somehow at the midst of it, found your true love. Cat street is a freaking life journey...

The characters, Oh boy! Everyone (I mean everyone! as in including the antagonist or rivals) are so LOVABLE! I love all of them! none of them felt two dimensional to me, each of them have their own roles, their own personalities!, their own struggles and ambitions in life and it all felt so natural and so real! especially the four stray cats/ main character!

Not to mention the manga has a decent amount of chapters, not short enough to leave you unsatisfied but not long enough either feel the story dragged on!

AH I've got nothing more to say, I love this manga!
Overall! everything is so well balance, but the development and depth of each character is what made this a masterpiece for me.

and lastly, I would absolutely recommend this, to those who's tired of the typical high school shoujo romance manga! and is on the hunt for uncommon genuine romance and slice of life manga.

Was a bit skeptical of the premise at first, it is a bit hard to believe that a kid doesn't go to school for 7 years and the parents do nothing about it to get her out of that mental health state, especially since the mother seemed pretty concerned with Keito, still making her every meal and bringing it to her room. I expected a bit more relationship development with Keito and her mother after Keito started making friends, but not much was shown, it was only implied when Keito started getting acting roles.

Beyond having to suspend disbelief for that fact, I enjoyed the story and appreciated that it wasn't a typical high school shoujo manga. 8/10
