Akari, Aika and Alice's tour guiding Neo-Venezia
Akari: The weather's nice today.
Aika: Akari, are you moving your hands properly? Our speed's dropping a bit.
Akari: Hahi~~
Alice: Hey seniors, how about practicing tour guiding today?
Akari: Ah, that's a good idea Alice-chan.
Aika: Ok I'm in, the first one's Akari. Kouhai-chan and I will play the role of customers.
Akari: Ehhhhh~~? How come I'm the first one?
Aika: Because you're the one rowing right now.
Akari: Ehhhhh~~?
Aika: Kouhai-chan and I will act like we're customers from Man-Home and let's begin from when we board the gondola.
Akari: Ok
Aika: Ok, practice start!
Akari: You're the customers who made the booking right? Welcome to Neo-Venezia. This is Akari, Mizunashi from ARIA Company. It's a pleasure to be of service today. Dear customer, please take my hand.
Aika: Hmm, it's very good considering it's Akari.
Akari: The next customer, please take my...oh...wah!
Alice: Are you ok?
Aika: Geez, and just as I praised you...
Akira: Sorry...excuse me. We will now depart for a tour of Neo-Venezia.
Akari: On your right is the Marco Polo International Spaceport. This port was reconstructed from the palace that was built for the Immigration Governer-General when AQUA's Immigration Plan was in progress.
Aika: Ahhh, I see. We used this spaceport yesterday but didn't know about this.
Alice: Aika-senpai, you don't need to act...
Aika: Because Akari is nervous...
Akari: Dear customers, so you came from Man-Home? I'm also from Man-Home.
Aika: See, the talk's loosened up. Plan success.
Akari: As we continue on, we arrive at the Piazza San Marco. From the right, there is the Basilica, the clocktower and the bell tower. Piazza San Marco is famous for Napoleon describing it as the "Most beautiful Square in the world" in the distant past at Man-Home. The Caffe Florian, located at Piazza San Marco is also famous for being the originators of Caffe Latte. Ah, are you familiar with the shadow chasing? This caffe has alfresco seating but to prevent the taste degradation of wine for wine-drinking customers, they move the seats according to the movement of the shadow. I was also surprised in the beginning...
Aika: Akari! Your explanation is too long.
Alice: In fact, we've already passed it ages ago.
Akari: Hahiii~~
Aika: Hey Undine-san, what's that weird island we see mid-air?
Akari: Ah, that's Ukijima. It's one of the climate control units that exist around Aqua. People whom we call Salamanders fight every day to enable us on the ground to enjoy a stable climate.
Alice: Fighting?
Aika: You've received too much influence from Ponio, Akari.
Akari: Errr...errrr, unlike the automatic climate control at Man-Home, the weather at Aqua is coincidence...how should I say it, how should I say it...ambigious...or
Aika: Akari! Hesitation(?) prohibited!
Alice: Please continue with our practice.
Akari: Let us now exit the Grand Canal and enter a narrow waterway. You'll be able to experience Neo-Venezia from an even closer point of view.
Akari: Ah, it's the butter-flavoured jacked potato shop!
Alice: Akari-senpai, we're in the middle of practice.
Akari: Ehhh~~? But I'm a bit hungry.
Aika: This is where we had jacked potatoes with Ai-chan right? Why not include this in the tour?
Akari: Waaahi! I'll go buy for the three of us...wait, I shall go and buy for all of us. (Casual language vs Polite form)
Akari: Sorry to keep you all waiting! Here you go.
Aika: Let is eat!
Alice: Let us eat...
Akari: This jacked potato's good whenever we come to eat it. In Man-Home, having the potato cut completely is the norm so having it whole feels so luxurious.
Aika: The warm potato, the saltiness and sweetness of the butter is really exquite.
Alice: You two have completely forgotten we're in the middle of practice...
Akari: The building which you can see over there is where Marco Polo lived. Marco Polo is known as an adventurer in Man-Home but he also promoted the export of materials such as silk, salt, pepper and cotton from the East to the West and...heyhey, look, that window's made of stained glass! It's really pretty, Aika-chan, Alice-chan, see over there...
Aika: Looking sideways prohibited!
Alice: Akari-senpai, please seal your "wonderful" mode.
Akari: Hahi, excuse me.
Akari: Dear customers, right ahead is the Bridge of Sighs. It is said that prisoners about to enter the prison looked out of the window, take a glance at the world and let out a sigh. Although the exterior is made of marble with intricate design, the inside is surprisingly made of wood.
Alice: That explanation at the end...it seemed rather good.
Aika: Oh yea, it might be even better if you add "Why not cross it and see it for yourself?"
Akari: Waahi, I finally got praised!
Akari: Although we may wish to continue for longer(?), we will be ending the tour at the gondola stand just over there. May you have a wonderful journey, keep well, good bye! ...How was it?
Aika: Hmmmm, just about 20/100?
Akari: Ehhh~~?
Alice: Aika-senpai's acting as a customer was also about 20/100.
Aika: Nuna!??
Aika: Then, it's my turn next. Dear customers, welcome to Neo-Venezia. Please hold out your hand.
Akari: Hahi!
Aika: The next person as well.
Alice: Yes
Aika: The guide for today will be me, Aika S Grandzchesta from the Himeya Company. Although it will be a relatively short journey, please relax and enjoy the trip.
Akari: Wow...that's just perfect, Aika-chan.
Alice: As expected from Akira-san's training.
Aika: Nah, not really.
Aika: Dear customer, appearing on your right is the Marco Polo International Spaceport. This building is built after the Palazzo Ducale which existed in Venice at Man-Home and is known by the people as the entryway to Aqua.
Akari: Hahi~~, Aika-chan, you're simply perfect.
Alice: But there seem to be no personal touch...
Aika: Nuna!!?
Akari: Now that you mention it...that might be true. I'd like to hear you guiding with your own personality.
Aika: Personality...ok!
Aika: This is the Piazza San Marco. From the right to the left are the basilica, the clocktower and the bell tower. Please take a look at the top of that pillar. That winged lion is St Mark's symbol. Talking about winged creatures, the Piazza San Marco is also famous for its pigeons. For those who wish to feed them, you can purchase pigeon feed from the pigeon lady who is in the Square. But, please be wary of the pigeon droppings. When I was small, I've had droppings fall onto my head and afterwards, I ended up training in how to dodge these droppings.
Alice: Aika-senpai, your talk is going hugely off-topic.
Aika: What? I was just intending to talk from the point of view as a local.
Akari: Training...I see...
Alice: Akari-senpai, this not something to admire right here.
Aika: Ah, it's the noon bell. Hey hey, let's have some lunch.
Alice: We're in the middle of practice.
Akari: Waaahi~~, lunch, lunch!
Aika: Look over there, it's the pizza shop that Akira-san likes.
Akari: The butter flavoured jacked potatoes are good, but the margherita here is also great.
Aika: Hmmm really, the cheese here is so different.
Alice: It's hugely delicious.
Aika: Now that we're full, let us resume practice!
Akari: Yep.
Aika: Dear customer, please start facing your gaze away from the city and look at the sky. That is the Ukijima which controls Aqua's climate and is a climate control unit. Please use the ropeway for sightseeing around Ukijima. The view from Ukijima is extremely amazing, and you will be able to view the whole of Neo-Venezia.
Akari: Aika-chan. As expected, it's really easy to understand.
Alice: But personality wise, it seems so-so...
Aika: You people, what happened to your customer roles? You haven't been doing it at all.
Akari: Ehhh~~? Do I really have to do it?
Aika: Do it.
Akari: Ehhh~~? Ok...my, my, Ukijima seems to be a fun place. I wonder how I could get there, Undine-san, my, my, ufufu.
Aika: Why is it Alicia-san? And you're completely not like her at all.
Akari: Ehhh~~?
Aika: Copying Alicia-san is prohibited!
Alice: Senpais, please do it seriously.
Aika: Now, let us part the Grand Canal and enter the narrow canals which weave across the city.
Alice: Aika-senpai you're rowing fast, please follow the speed limit.
Aika: Nuna?!!
Aika: Dear customers, coming up over there is the home of the Venetian adventurer Marco Polo, who was famous for his adventures and knowledge of the East. Why not act like an adventurer and take a souvenir picture here? It'll become a good memory from your journey.
Akari: Hmm...it's not bad but...
Alice: ...it's hugely far from Akira-san's level.
Aika: Mmmm...Akira-san is really a genius at customer teasing, so it's really hard to entertain anti-social customers like you people. I've learnt something.
Akari: Ehh~~? An anti-social customer?
Alice: That's hugely unexpected.
Aika: Then act properly...hmmm, you two are...honeymoon couples. Akari is the wife and Kouhai-chan is the husband. Understood?
Akari: Ehhh~~?
Alice: What?
Aika: After going under a countless number of small bridges, coming up at the front is the famed Bridge of Sighs. Yesyes, the Bridge of Sighs has legends as well. Couples kissing under the bridge during the sunset bells are said to be tied with eternal love.
Akari: Hohe~~, how romatic.
Alice: That...is actually the setting of a movie. The legend is actually about a pickpocket who lied and...
Aika: Kouhai-chan, don't say things that destroys dreams. But in all seriousness, don't you think this is something pretty good for guiding tailored for couples?
Akari: Yea, you feel excited by just hearing about it.
Alice: Certainly...this might be hugely good.
Aika: Right, right?
Aika: Then, it is time for us to part just over there. Thank you very much for your patronage. Be careful and have a fun journey!
Akari: Aika-chan really, you're really good.
Aika: Hey hey, which parts gave the strongest impression?
Alice: For me, it's the pigeon droppings.
Akari: Training?
Alice: Then it's my turn next. Welcome to Neo-Venezia. I'm Alice Carroll from Orange Planet. It's a pleasure to be of service today. Dear customer, please hold out your hand.
Akari: Hahi!
Alice: Please hold out your hand.
Aika: Hmm...
Alice: Aika-senpai, is there anything?
Aika: Kouhai-chan, scary face prohibited.
Alice: Dear customer, please look to the right. The building with the elegent Byzantine arches is the Marco Polo International Spaceport. It is modeled after the Palazzo Ducale in Man-Home. The Palazzo Ducale displayed the wealth and authority of the ancient Venezian Republic and was also where the Governer lived and also used as an administrive building as well as a court, for the storage of weapons and a jail such that it was a multi-functional place.
Akari: Hohe~~...it might be too complicated.
Aika: Kouhai-chan, your voice is rather soft, and that guiding is like reading from a textbook.
Alice: I became hugely nervous.
Aika: Really, what are you going to do when you take customers for real...?
Akari: Oh yea, why don't you also show your individuality? It should be more comfortable that way.
Alice: Over there is the Piazza San Marco. It is the number one huge Piazza in Neo-Venezia. The bell tower is also the biggest. The top of the bell tower is a viewing point and you will be able to see the whole of Neo-Venezia. You will also have a hugely good view of the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in the opposite side. How is it?
Akari: Well...
Aika: Saying "hugely" prohibited!
Alice: Just as I thought. Please hugely excuse me.
Aika: I just realised, that we should be playing the role of customers. Hey, hey Undine-san, what's that floating in the sky?
Akari: Aika-chan, what role?
Aika: I'm doing the bourgeoise wife. Akari, you play the role of a kid.
Akari: A kid..?
Aika: Hey, get on with it!
Akari: Wow, there's smoke rising from the island in the sky! Miss Undine, what's that?
Alice: That is called the Ukijima and is a climatic unit to make Aqua's climate comfortable. The smoke is from the furnace in the upper part of the island that produces an enormous amount of heat energy...
Aika: Kouhai-chan, your customer is a kid! Use a nice face and make it easy to understand.
Alice: Oh...excuse me. Make it easy for a kid to understand, right?
That is called Ukijima and it's where the weather on this planet is controlled. How is it?
Akari: ...It was easy to understand, Alice-chan.
Aika: It was easy to understand but...oh well, that was the best facial expression you had so far.
Alice: I see, then I'll make effort using this style.
Then let us have a go, at passing through narrow waterways.
Aika: In retrospect, it feels as if we're being treated like idiots.
Alice: Yea.
Alice: Over there is the home of Marco Polo. Marco Polo returned to Venezia after spending 25 years in the East but was mostly ignored and was put into a jail in Genoa to spend his last days. His adventures may have never been known to later generations had he not told everything to his cellmate while in jail.
Akari: That's a rather pitiful story.
Aika: It's good but it's a bit dark, be bright next time.
Alice: Ok! I will hugely make effort.
Alice: Approaching right ahead is the Bridge of Sighs. In the olden days at Man-Home, the prisoners who have been sentenced by the court at the Palazzo Ducale are said to have looked out of the bridge and sighed at the beautiful sight of the city as they crossed the bridge to the jail next door.
Aika: Yes, yes, that seemed pretty good!
Alice: But there are also rumours like this. In the cold and dark jail, the ghosts of the prisoners who died having never seen the sun's rays again, leave the jail night after night and appear at the Bridge of Sighs...and produce sighs full of grudges...
Akari: HAHI~~!!!
Aika: Hey, I told you to be bright! ...but, is this for real?
Alice: It is indeed real. The ghosts of the prisoners count the number of gondolas passing under the bridge as they sigh. One...Two...Three...and as the fourth gondola passes, it will go and possess the Undine on that gondola...
Akari: HAHI~~!!!
Aika: Gya~~su!!! Scary stories prohibited!
Alice: Then we part here. Bon voyage and farewell.
Aika/Akari: *Insecure noises*
Alice: Senpais are you alright?
Akari: Yes, it was a little scary but it really left an impression. Should I say it really showed your personality?
Aika: Y...yes, you could do an event like "A summer event to cool down - a haunted gondola tour".
Alice: I've got plenty of material for such a thing. Let's go around again. In fact, at a window at Marco Polo's home, night after night...
Akari: HAHI~~!!!
Aika: GYAA~~SU!!! On second thoughts, no haunted tours, no! |
