<(´∀`<)Rules of the Jams(>´∀`)>
These are the rules of the Art Jams. Entrants that do not follow the rules will be disqualified, and repeat offenders will be banned from the jams (three strikes, you're out).
1. Anybody can participate in the art jams, regardless of whether or not they are a member of the club; there is no sign-up sheet or prerequisites for entry, with the exception that entrants must be members of the MAL forums.
2.1. ARTWORK MUST BE YOURS. Do not re-post someone else's work. This includes copying or tracing a picture that somebody else drew or a photo that they took. Both types of cases are considered stealing.
2.2. Do not use any other artist's work in conjunction with your own unless it is a collaboration. (In other words, Art Jam is not the place for signatures/banners/wallpapers/etc.) All artists that contribute to the piece MUST be members of MAL.
3.1. Entries must be created after the Art Jam theme has been announced. Old artwork is not accepted, as it creates an unfair advantage (as far as the creation time allowed is concerned).
3.2. Entries cannot contain explicit or detailed nudity, sex, grotesque violence, or hate propaganda. Keep it PG-13 :D
4. Entries must pertain to the theme of the current Art Jam. If you're not sure if your entry fits the theme, ask the host =)
5. Entrants/participants of the jams are allowed to submit only one entry per jam. Multiple entries will not be accepted, and entrants cannot change their entry once submitted.
6. Entrants may post their submissions in the club pictures or in the current Art Jam forum topic. Please note that entries submitted through the club pictures will be cleaned out every month, so do not submit it to the club pictures thinking it will be a permanent fixture (it would be cool if we could do that; unfortunately, there are only 25 slots available).
7. All entries must be received by the current Art Jam deadline. There will be no exceptions. This is to ensure fairness in voting, and to prevent any disruptions in the jam-vote-jam process.
8. Do not make a new forum topic for your entry without submitting to the club or Art Jam forum topic; the host could miss it, and if this happens and your entry is found too late, it will be as if you missed the deadline and your entry will be disqualified.
9. Winners will be featured in the club until the winner for the next jam is chosen; that winner will then be featured and the past winner will be removed (however, a link to the winner topic that features their work will be placed in the "past winners" section).
10. Collaborations are allowed; however, keep in mind that you will have to share the glory/winner graphic.
11. Entrants have the option of submitting their art to the jam without participating in the vote (your art will be featured in the vote topic without an option for your entry in the poll).
12. The same person is allowed to win two art jams in a row, however if they enter a third jam their art will not be part of the vote (but will be featured in the vote topic).
13. All artwork remains the property of the entrant or entrants. By submitting to the art jam, the entrant(s) do not relinquish ownership of the work. However, by submitting to the Art Jam the entrant grants permission for their work to be reposted in a vote and (if they win) winner topic, and also to be featured in the Art Jam club.
