I’ll reserve my final judgment until I finish reading this, but... I swear to god, if it ends in some mutual romance or any “romance” between jeremy and ian.. as I’ve already stated, their relationship is completely fucked up, beyond repair, and there is no way that it could ever be healthy. ian at this point is an irredeemable person, no matter what the story wants to frame it as. the author doesn’t seem to know what she wants ian to be, and thats actually true for a few other characters, like nadia, and even jeremy to a lesser extent. i do like Jeremy and I genuinely want to see him safer and i want him to heal.. I also like marjorie, i like their friendship. honestly, if the story didn’t try to make Ian a love interest, and ian just cared for Jeremy familialy, it could’ve avoided a ton of problems. if Jeremy had a love interest who was actually a half decent person who actually cared about him in a non abusive way, like any of his friends, it would’ve been so much better. I guess the story wanted ian to be more complex, and not a perfect guy, but in doing so it only seems to try to excuse everything he does and portrays him as some kind of conflicted dude we should sympathize with when he has genuinely done things that should never be excused
