I know I'm not really one to talk as I have obviously not read that many manga, however, I didn't know they made them this terrible. I have just finished chapter one of the Shaolin Sisters. The story is incredibly contrived: student's master murdered when she goes to town. Returns to find her dojo torn to hell. Vows revenge... at least, I think that's what happened. You see; it's quite impossible to tell due to the fact that the art is simply unintelligible. Any action shot is impossible to decipher. You can't even tell how many people are in a shot. I will, however, continue to read it in hopes that the art direction moves forward. If anyone has read this and can give me hope please do. |

There is no hope. My biggest issue with the plot is the the way the final battle is not even shown. They wrap it up on the last two pages with a lame summary of how the sisters combine their powers to fight the ancient evil. I pushed through the mediocre story, and tried my best to deal with artwork that looks like an unfinished rough draft of a storyboard. The least the author can do is reward the readers with some kind of conclusion. |
