| Who could play who? I'd love to hear who you guys think could play Motoko (is any chick badass enough?), Batou, Kaneda, Tetsuo, etc. Also, who do you think could have played a character better in an already made adaptation? I'd say Carrie-Ann Moss for Motoko, but I don't think she could pull off her sexiness. Sorry, but she's just too darned thin! I can't even think of a guy who's brawny enough or funny enough to play Batou, but some people think Ron Pearlman could do it. I love Pearlman, so I'd be happy. |

Hmm, please dont kick my butt for saying this but: Motoko: Angelina Jolie (she's got that bad-ass attitude perfect for the Major, though not Asian looking and also Charlize Theron) oh, how about Asia's equivalent of Angelina: Hsu Qi or Shu Qi (the babe from so close & the transporter)? she just oozes sexiness, sensuality and a real bad-ass babe! =) Batou: Ron Perlman is great, I like his humor! Togusa: Keanu Reeves! uh-oh?! =) (perfect for the rookie type, naive yet charismatic character) Borma: lets see, the guy who portrayed The thing in F4! Like his humor too! I'll add more in a little while. =) |

| Well, for me it also depends on whether or not they decide to keep GitS in Japan. If they're setting it somewhere else then that's fine, but if they're intending to keep it in Japan it would be kind of weird seeing an all Caucasian cast. Keanu Reeves: I admit that I like the guy, but if he's working on the Cowboy Bebop movie, which they've been talking about him perhaps doing, I wonder if he will have time to do this too. If they have Togusa without the Mateber, I just don't know what I'll do. Borma I think would probably be one of those people they would cut. Don't get me wrong, I want all of Section 9 in the movie, but people like Borma and Paz would probably be cut right off the bat. Saito is who I really want to see. I always kinda liked him and his hawkeye. I'm still thinking of who could play him though. One thing I've been thinking about is how weird this movie is going to sound. After years of hearing the same voices attached to the same faces, hearing something else is going to sound a little weird. What about Aramaki? I've been trying to think of someone all weekend and I can't think of anyone. I'm not exactly familiar with older actors, so this is a toughy for me. |
