| Angelo's naviety makes him an easy target, particularly to someone as cunning as Cesare. On the other hand it also means even the likes of Cesare can't predict what Angelo's next action will be. Even the likes of Giovanni (who is no where near as sinister as the first two chapters implied him to be) seems to be mere pawns in Cesare's master plan. Truly an enigma. So after Leonardo da Vinci, we get to see Machiavelli. Fascinating. |
