Mr. Otomo, one of the most recognized and famous anime directors/creators of all time, seems to be going over to live action. In addition to being the director of the Mushishi adaptation, he's also handling a few other projects, including writing the script for the Akira adaptation. At this time, he has finished FREEDOM, I believe, but hasn't done an anime movie since Steamboy. Still, this could just be a break before he releases yet another masterpiece.

Thoughts? If he did switch to regular films, do you think it would have an impact on the quality normally found in his movies?
