After meeting in high school, they did not meet again; thought they were going to be rivals or something. And now he reappears, as a corpse. |
| Yes, he appeared only briefly, I always thought he would be the closest personality wise to Mori and he would be the most likely candidate to be friends with him. I guess they were even more alike than I thought. |

| I wonder how long more do we have to wait to see what happened to Mori and his friend that commited suicide before Mori transferred to another school. Or does the author have no intention of showing it to us? Everything seems pretty messed up to me now. |
| Yeah, this is why I can't take this manga seriously from a narrative point of view. I get that mountain climbing is dangerous and many die, but there was literally no point in introducing this character if all he'd do after his introduction was reappear as a corpse. From a writing stand point, this manga really is disappointing. :/ |

| This chapter gave me some whiplash. So that one suicidal guy all the way from the beginning of the manga just re-appears as a corpse? I totally forgot who the shmuck even was until I saw his clothes. Honestly I feel kinda sad how the sole purpose of this guy is now just a landmark, it's pretty akin to bodies on Mt Everest aswell. But man I wish I saw more of him, I wouldnt say its a waste of a character (because i didnt give a shit about him to begin with, im not sure if you're supposed to considering how unceremonius his death was), but it would've been nice to see a little bit more about his backstory. after all, apart from miyamoto, hara WAS the guy who kinda inspired mori to climb, right? |
