Mysterious Girlfriend X

| Nazo no Kanojo X is about a school-age couple who share share a bond of "drool", rather then "sex" or "kissing". The male protagonist has a girl in his class, the female protagonist, who always sleeps in class and doesn't interact much with other students. One day, after school, he is getting ready to go, and walks past her desk- She is sleeping, head down on her desk, a puddle of saliva by her cheek. He notices that they're the only one's in the classroom, and he decides to stick his finger in the puddle and taste the saliva, finding it to be very good. There, a brief summary. Mysterious Girlfriend X is a psychological love story, and a very good one. One of my favorite Manga, and, I hope, will be one of my favorite Anime. The premise may sound "gross" to you, but I'd encourage you not to let that detour you from at the very least trying out the series- be it the first episode or the first chapter- which is actually a one shot that was turned into a series. It's very good. It's very sweet. It's very raw. Sometimes, it's very disturbing (to some people I suppose), but it's worth it. Put simply, if Clouds and Tooth Brushing can arouse you, odds are Saliva will as well. |

The current description doesn't really help much. :/ It's more like something that catches your attention and you investigate it further, only to realize you did something crazy afterwards. It's not "accidentally" but "absentmindedly". Episode one of the anime covered the original one-shot (82 pages) fairly accurately despite the somewhat rushed pace. So that is pretty much how it happened in the manga, too. |

Ain't no one asking you to like the show. But no one really gives a damn about hearing your impression of it- and in the event that someone is, I'm pretty sure that the number of people who would agree that the show is great, despite it's "weird" premise far exceed the number of closed-minded haters. If you can get past that (for those who need too- I personally think it's sweet), then you have a beautiful romance in store for you, one in which the main character takes what's taken several other main characters in romance 26 episodes too do and does it it one- grows a pair and confesses too the girl. But no. You look at something that you've been conditioned to think is "gross" or "disgusting" and immediately go into troll mode. But nothing productive can be said to trolls who troll not for their own amusement, but simply for the sake of being a fag, So I will simply end this with "haters gonna hate", and go to see if the latest chapter of the Manga is out now. |

| 2 things: 1: I don't think this is that gross. It's like french kissing except without lips. (Then again I have seen a lot of *****d up s***). 2: I do think that it's weird by many of today's standards. However I think it's kinda sweet too. I mean Tsubaki thought the drool was sweet because it's the drool from the person he loves. How is that not sweet? |
