| 70mins...is that supposed to be long or short? This is actually the very first time I translated something. These picture dramas are heavy on dialogue which makes for a great deal of typing, versus "scenery-fillers" we get in the animation. |

| Aika-senpai, why not consider that it may be from someone close to Akira? (I haven't "quality-controlled" my stuff and went for a rather literal route meaning some of the dialogue are long and cumbersome for fansubbing. It contains a lot of stuff which would make OtaKing go nuts!) Edit: PM sent |

my computer doesn't recognize the file extension and neither do i, what program do i need to view it? or what kind of file is it so i can search for a viewer/converter? too tired to figure out for myself atm if anyone's wondering why i don't use the internet, 5am atm ;) |

If you use a semi-decent player. Either rename the file to the same name as the video file, i.e. if its the one in the torrent it'd be "[DVD-Raw]_ARIA_The_ORIGINATION_-_Picture_Drama_-_01_(720x480_XviD1.2)[0E417D5E].ass" and then just open the video, the subs should be loaded automatically. Or, I dunno about zoom but, in MPC if you open the video, then go to file you can select Load Subtitles and load it that way. If any one wants to try translating the other Picture Drama's I'll have a go at timing them too. |

| Thanks for the credit. I don't mind freebies but I do like to get credited after the effort. You could have put your name down under "Timing" as well. Your timing is excellent. The stuff appeared and disappeared exactly at the right moment. If you're thinking of doing more timing in the future, my 0.02c as a viewer: 1. Keep the non-intrusive, plain text. 2. Maybe jack the font size 1-2pt larger as it was a bit hard to read. 3. Split long scripts into two (although it's extra timing work!). |
