You've been reading my mind, TEA. I was hoping a thread like this would pop up being as though it's so fitting of our club. ^_^

Anyway, I'd mentioned this earlier but I purchased a new bike today. In fact, I just finished riding.

It's a 2008 Raleigh Venture 4.0. Not as sweet as the hardtail I originally wanted, but for my needs this bike promises to suit me well.

I figure in a month I'll be conditioned (and confident) enough to actually leave the security of my neighborhood and actually venture to one of the local bike trails.

One of the two bikes I was looking at prior to deciding on the Venture was a Trek 3900 WSD hardtail (the other being a FELT, which I could never afford). My dealer advised me against the Trek because, as he put it, he'd met very few women who "fit" a Trek woman specific design bike. Evidently they're designed with petite females in mind and at 5'10" I hardly fit the model of petite with regards to height. *shrugs* Ah well.

Wow. there is a lot of energy here for Overdrive. Although I have to say that I wish Overdrive was more like ID stage4 with lot of technical terms, Im happy with the way the series turned out.

Sman! you are looking for a new bike with greater than 21 gears. EASY!!! Im assuming that you have a Shwinn or a Walmart brand MTB. either way there are so many bikes out there to choose from it hard finding one that you would like. For those who are in the USA, I would recommend that you visit.

www.bikesdirect.com

This is the ABSOLUTE! best place to find quality parts for outstanding deals. I recently bought my self a road bike from them and Let me tell you when I saw what Yousuke rode I went through the roof. Take a look to see why!!!

Not to mention that the bike has some of the best parts. Since buying the bike 6 months ago I have logged more that 1700 miles on it.

Also for all of those MTB riders out there. You can select for a great range of Hardtails and Full-Sup Bikes with some of the new 2007 parts. I recently bought myself a Used Trek 3900 and LOVE IT!!!! The forks are nice an plush and the response from the Drive is excellent.

Email me if you have any questions about bikes!!!

I am a cyclist. I ride about 200 miles a week. I have ridden 3500 miles so far this year. Not as high as I hoped it would be. Please feel free to read my cycling blog.

I ride vintage, but It has all the features of a modern bike, I have just recently switched to clipless pedels. I love them.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

I have a cycling club for people that are actually into cycling and not just the anime overdrive.
