What the title says, the little boy who seems to know things and the girl that's with him. Who are they? Also do they have any importance?

Don't think there's any concrete answer. Most (including myself) take them to be the next reincarnations of Ryuuya and Kanna, and that they can be together without Kanna being really sick demonstrates how after 1000 summers, the curse that was haunting Kanna (and her reincarnations) is finally gone.

lol what, I thought Misuzu was more of the reincarnation of Kanna and Yukito was the reincarnation of Ryuuya.

She was (and he was). But she (and he) wasn't the only one. There had been many, many more before her (and him). Many other girls who were afflicted with that same curse. It wasn't until Misuzu that the curse was broken.

Oh I had a more cynical view, that the curse was endless cycle that could never be broken. Also I didn't think that someone can be reincarnated into two people in the same lifetime.

If it wasn't ended, then the series lost all of it's purpose. Misuzu's goal break that chain in the end, and the two kids looks meant to be a symbolism for me.

(You can look for more interpretations that already posted in many places, such as in the 1st page of 12th ep discussion)
