This series is starting to fall short, there is no suspenses or strong rival (Meiko) that the protagonist recognize as a secondary potential lover. The author is writing himself to a corner and using whatever dumbfound method he can copy or make use of (random magic by the witch? oh plz, can't this be normal for a chapter)...

Might drop this series, depending on the following chapters and how it takes place. I was before, but Meiko decision not to resort to magic to win his love was a nice touching development for her.
