From ANN:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-10-18/kamisama-dolls-sequel-still-undecided

Makoto Uezu, series script editor and scriptwriter for the Kamisama Dolls television series, indicated that a sequel remains undecided as of Monday. Uezu noted that a draft does exist for continuing the story, but "various difficulties" have complicated the possibility of proceeding with a new series for the action anime.

The 13-episode supernatural anime based on Hajime Yamamura's manga originally aired in Japan from July 7 to September 27. Crunchyroll streamed Kamisama Dolls in various countries as it aired in Japan on Tuesdays.

The DVD/BD sales were horrendous. It something like less than 2000 combined units for the first volume. wasn't even enough to make top 30 in it's opening week.

Sadly, the fate of these shows seemed rather dependent and whether a small group of otaku shell out 500$ to buy the overpriced limited edition BDs

"Various difficulties" he says? WHy doesn't he just admits that the producers don't want to shell out money for another season because it's selling like crap. Besides, how can they even have an overall draft for the second season with the limited manga volumes available right now? I'm smelling fillers if they do make it.

not surprising. typical otaku fanbois found not enough fanservice in this one and the characters and ideas were too deep for usual teenager crowd.

Sad, really. Well at least hopefully manga gets translated faster now.

I think this series deserves one more season to tie up loose ends, and fill in some plot holes here and there.

from the preview on episode 13 it seemed like kukuri isn't going to be utao's anymore which WILL BE SAD!! so i'm not looking forward to the second season as much. i'm only gonna watch to be see what happened to aki.

overall: AKI NEEDS MORE ACTION TIME!!!!!
WHAT'S THE POINT OF SECOND SEASON IF KUKURI WON'T BE UTAO'S???!!!
and the romance is LAME!!!

ps: WHAT HAPPENED TO KIRIO?!!!!!
this anime is stupid/with so much mistakes :(

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you statement seems like nothing more then a rant of fan-girlism.

I appreciated the series and think it still has a lot of potential, as Nikoru-san said, i think it just needs one more season.

i don't normally give out shows with a high rating, but when i do, they don't get a sequel.

Unfortunately I'm not surprised. Unless this was a josei those sales figures wouldn't be acceptable, and what's more annoying is that Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere sells very well-
