~Races~

Playable

Human
The most dominate race in Vineria, they are both envied and feared by the other races. Human have great potential, yet their pride and hubris usually weakens them. Some are born with Magical Abilities, though this is rare. They are sometimes referred to as "Children of Enoch",

Elven
Being with exceptionally long lifespans, their defining feature is their pointed ears. Elven are split into three Sub-Races. All, however, are renowned for their beauty, and artistic and musical talents.

- Wood Elf
The various barbarian Elven clan-folk of the Bosmer Highland, a forested province in southwestern Vineria. Wood Elfs reject the stiff, formal traditions of high culture, preferring a romantic, simple existence in harmony with the land, its wild beauty and wild creatures. Sometimes referred to as Aldmeria.

- High Elf
The haughty, tall, golden-skinned peoples of Salache isle. In the Empire, "High" is often understood to mean "proud" or "snobbish", and as the High Elf generally personify these characteristics, the "lesser races" harbor little warmth for them. They consider themselves to have the most civilized culture in Vineria. Sometimes referred to as Aureus.

- Dark Elf
The ash-skinned, red-eyed, Elven peoples of the Eastern Moriche Islands. "Dark" is commonly understood as meaning such characteristics as "dark-skinned", "gloomy", "ill-favored by fate" and so on. The Dark Elves and their national identity, however, embrace these various connotations with enthusiasm. Sometimes referred to as Cineris

Dwarves
A race of Short and Stocky people, who are also intelligent and very dexterous. They boast of great physical strength and wonderful craftsmanship, with Dwarven Axes being the best in all of Vineria.

Gnomes
The Shorter, thinner cousin of Dwarves. They boast more arcane skill rather than combatant strength.

Halflings
Also called Half-Elf's, they are the offspring of Elven and Human pairings. Typically shunned by both races, yet have the potential to surpass either.

Saxhleel
The Saxhleel are the reptilian denizens of Marshlands. Little is known and less is understood about them. Years of defending their borders have made the Saxhleels experts in guerrilla warfare, and their natural abilities make them equally at home in water and on land.Their seemingly expressionless faces belie a calm intelligence, and many Saxhleel are well-versed in the magical arts. Others rely on stealth or steel to survive, and their natural agility makes them adept at either.

Elsweyr
A race of feline-like humaniods, hailing from the province of Sathay, well-known for their keen Intelligence and Agility. While these traits make them superb thieves, Elsweyr are also fearsome warriors, although seldom gifted with the skill to harness magical forces. This is not to say that Elsweyr do not possess the ability, merely that strenuous training must be undertaken to make wielding magic a serious option, either in passive or aggressive actions.

LycanThorpes
Bitter rivals to the Elsweyr, they are humanoids that are canine- like in appearance. They process more Magical capabilities than their Feline foes, and are able to fully transform on a full moon. Swift and prideful, they take insults personally.

DragonFolk
They are descendents of dragons, offspring of Humanoid and Dragon pairings. They are capable of shapeshifting between Humanoid and Dragon-like forms. DragonFolk are extremely intelligent, and are naturally adapt at wielding Flame Magiks.

Kitsune
The last of the three 'Sanctioned' BeastFolk races, Kitsune are fox-like in appearance, having long ears and bushy tails. Gifted in the Magical Arts, they tend to be sneaky little pyromaniacs and tricksters.

Alucards
Also referred to as Vampires, they are predatory blooddrinkers, though are able to live along sides humans thanks to the 'Colovian Agreement' where they are allowed to freely drink the blood of wrong-doers. They are capable of shifting between their human form and a terrifying bat like form.

Succubus
An entirely female race that are similar to an Alucards, except they drain your soul or life force with a kiss rather than drink your blood. They too are affected by the 'Colovian Agreement'.

Homunculi
Also known as Human Dolls, Homunculus are created through the use of Alchemy, and given life through magic. Most are emotionless, not processing a soul. Some, however, have souls bound within them, and reflect the personality and traits of the person.

DemonFolk
The result of the various Demonic invasions of the past, and the offspring of Demon-Human 'mating'. They share many characteristics with demons, having yellow eyes and usually processing horns or tails, and are naturally gifted in Black Magicks.
DemonFolk are able to transform into their Demon form for brief periods of time.

AngelFolk
The opposite of DemonFolk, they are the result of Angel and Human pairings. Extremely Beautiful, they are capable of sprouting Dove-like wings, and are gifted in Light Magicks.

Undead
A reanimated body. They have only recently been accepted in to society, barely, thanks to a new drug called ' Natura Preserva' will allows that to retain their human mind, as well as stopping their bodies from decomposing. Taken twice a day, without it they won't start to lose control and rot, turning in to vicious Ferals.

NPC

Spiderant
Hive born and insectlike in appearance, these people rarely seen above ground and not much is known about them.

Minotaur
Obscenely large bovine people with great strength and endurance, they are rash and very dangerous.

Satyr
Drunken goat people who are the life of the party… nothing else really special about them.

Centaur
Horse People who are brilliant seers and stargazers, they roam wild and free.

Fairies
Small winged creatures that resemble elves, but twice the cuteness and playfulness.

Orc
Brutish and powerful with strength that could be on par with that of a Dwarf’s, if not stronger. They are also known to be brilliant craftsman as well.

Goblin
Also known as Hobbes, Hobgoblins, or Gremlins, these beings are about the size of a Dwarf, but with none of the courage and twice the cleverness and cunning.

Imps
Mischievous little creatures, they are like winged Goblins. Have a great love of shiny things.

Cyclops
Single eyed and scary looking behemoths, but once you get to know them they are as sweet as children. Just be careful not to get on their bad side.

Ghouls
They are cannibalistic shapeshifters that can take the form of whoever their latest ‘meal’ was.

Gorgon
A predatory Snake-like being with snakes for their hair. They are both beautiful and deadly.

Shades
A collection of similar restless spirits forming a single entity. They are often wandering souls seeking absolvement and freedom from this earth.

Lich
Technically not an Undead because they were not resurrected, but rather their soul did not want to leave their body postmortem. They keep their body and soul together through dark magicks and demonic works.

Feral
Undeads that are unable to keep hold of their human minds. Mindless Flesh-eaters, they typically inhabit caves and abandon buildings.

Demon
A manifestation of corruption and darkness, they are pure evil, hunting down and killing other races for sport. However, Demons have not been seen inside Vineria for centuries.

Reaper
Also called a Grim or Shinigami, they are an entity of Death. It is only the messenger and the guide afterwards, it doesn’t necessarily cause it. Pray they don't appear before you.
