Mmmmmmm Fujiko nipples.
That grope at the end was great also.

I kinda wish that the stellar opening of the movie carried on throughout the whole movie, but oh well.

Pretty decent, although Kikyo wasn't a very interesting villain and it felt like it went on slightly too long.

I did like the part when Fujiko betrays Lupin on the deck of the submarine; Lupin seems amused and Fujiko matches this when they met back up in Chin's mansion. I like this sense that they're playing semi-serious games with each other.

Lupin being crushed by water pressure was a great cartoon visual.

Goemon looked really cool standing on that plane as it flew through the air. I also enjoyed that cute sound Fujiko made as Lupin grabbed her breasts while catching her mid-air.

I'm also choosing to believe Kikyo managed to somehow survive at the end.

This one was so good. I loved how it opened with Goemon being moved by a kabuki play about his ancestor, and with Lupin trying to get a plushie of himself like that. And a priceless treasure hidden in the ruins of the sank Titanic and some spotlight for Goemon? Cool stuff! I loved when Lupin and Jigen went for the dragon with that submarine. It was a really tense moment, he was in a dangerous place where others with the same equipment died, and looking for something supposedly lost. Jigen and Fujiko were really worried and you could feel it even before they lost contact with him.

The dragon being a secret Goemon was willing to protect no matter what, not even wanting Lupin or Jigen's help at first, was nice too. An alloy even better than Zantetsuken itself, huh. No wonder the english title of this one is "Dragon of Doom", it certainly had the power to make the world bend to its owner. But not with Goemon there. It's a pity he was betrayed, well, used, by Kikyo like that, but he honored his ancestors and fought bravely to seal the secret again. And it was one amazing battle with Goemon jumping from the biplane, everything they had, to the ultimate weapon of destruction, trying to cut it down. And he did it! And like Jigen, I think it was kind of, let's say, poetic, that the Stealth ended up being destroyed over the same sea in which the Titanic sank.

Zenigata was one good comic relief here too, and I liked the antagonists. The seemingly immortal leader of the ninjas, who actually had 'shadows', and Kikyo, someone from Goemon's past who used to be closed to him back then. Just their boss, Chin Chin was a bit silly like his name. And a bit distasteful too, but he didn't ruin it. And I love how he was wary of Lupin's cigarettes, only to activate their trick himself in that scene. Oh, I also loved how Fujiko killed one the shadows with that precise shot when they were dangling over those hungry alligators. And if Kikyo hadn't tried to take the scroll from Goemon before I would've really believed she died a gruesome death there, I don't know how she escaped it. But welp, good stuff!

The guy with all the lookalikes who kept getting shot in the head was weird, but I enjoyed it overall. I really enjoyed the deep sea parts.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I didn't like this at all and found it boring, predictable, and overly ridiculous even for a lupin IIIrd piece.

Pretty weird at the beginning how Lupin goes from Japan all the way to Paris to use his computer and then all the way to Hong Kong straight after. Not only that but that tiny plane of his would have had to make sooo many fuel stops and would have taken probably days to get Hong Kong lol.

Also obviously the water pressure on the sunken Titanic would have killed him for sure, especially once he loses his suit but it was a funny visual so who cares.

This is definitely one of the more tame specials and is very predictable. No points for guessing that Kikyoh was most likely a villain that's for sure.

Honestly despite the simplicity of it I kinda enjoyed this special. This was my second time viewing this and first time in HD and 90 minutes flew by this time. I think this special is very well paced, it's not too overly manic like some Lupin specials can be. The story does nothing special but is serviceable and the adventures and antics on offer are solid though not spectacular.

I guess I just feel as though everything just kinda works even though the main Lupin crew also feel as though they are kinda cruising through this adventure, mostly unchallenged compared to others. I'm kinda mixed on it really, I definitely like and enjoy this special but I also definitely recognise the mediocrity and simplistic nature of it.

Between a 7-8/10 for me but I totally understand someone giving this special closer to a 5-6 as well.

Fairly slow at the beginning, but once the plot got going in full, it was pretty good.

Zenigata got totally sidelined in this one, but I liked the focus on Goemon and the era had some of my favorite artstyles in anime.

Not really a must-watch, but a fun enough way to relax on an evening.

I'd give it somewhere between 6,5/10 and 7/10

The comedic bits were good, especially the beginning, but this wasn't as good as some of the other specials, especially not as great as the one that came directly after this one. Some of the animation here was really good, but unfortunately, another Fuma Ichizoku no Inbo this is not, as the animation kept going back and forth between super high quality, and just average.
