| Aside from the fact that he never helped save her planet at war, and no epilogue, this was great. 7/10. Although short, their growing relationship and the action was very entertaining. An alien soldier, Umeko, traveling to Earth to recruit Kouichi a B-Class Esper who later achieved A-Class God tier to stop a meteoroid and lose his power after turning 18 was a fun story. Their banter and her methods of attempting to get him to her planet, with him continuing to decline till the end was hilarious. The enemy alien arguably attempting to kill him after years of research to then become an ally was interesting. Although, taking the form of his mother as a teacher in school is odd... I'm assuming or at least hope since it'd feel appropriate for her to change her appearance in a what if epilogue. I wish there was more, but whatever. Umeko and Kouichi were cute. Nice that Umeko stole a kiss before she left after he screamed his love for her, not knowing she was present. Another enjoyable read from this Mangaka. |
