| Because people who watched Higurashi in the first place didn't watch it for the fanservice. IF it was a regular show with fanservice, it wouldn't be good enough either. The comedy was unfunny, Most parts were just weird and everyone just felt OOC. |

I find that a show which draws you into each bout of fanservice is FAR more enjoyable. With that in mind, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei does a great job of this. The characters aren't what you'd normally imagine as fanservice-worthy, but when it happens, it's (normally) unexpected, yet still worth the time. Kanokon uses the fanservice as a hindrance to the main character, playing into each story, and animates it all beautifully. I don't completely hate Kira's fanservice, I just think it could have had a bit more attention paid to making it funny, or more entertaining in general. |

| I feel like I'm the only one who really liked it. I mean, i've only seen clips here and there and am waiting for the full thing to air but I enjoyed what I have seen. Sure it isn't the typical Higurashi but I just kinda fell for the cuteness and comedy in this. I just love seeing the characters again. |
| The first episode of the previous OVA was fanservice as well, but then it moved on to a nice little story arc. More than likely the next 3 episodes will be something special. |

From the previews, it seems to be a parody of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, so if they screw those episodes up too... they'll have done wrong against TWO of my favorite series. Of course, it looks like it won't be fan-service laden like the first episode was. I want some "reality" and not just Keiichi having a perverted dream. |

| I've said it many times before and I'll say it again. Higurashi no naku koro ni Kira is horrifyingly bad. The screenplay is absolutely shit, the jokes are cliche and most of the focus was put on unnecessary fanservice. But the root of the problem is that the makers of the anime have gone from the Psychological/Mystery genre to Ecchi/hell knows what, so quickly. You don't commemorate a series like Higurashi with Ecchi and Yaoi scenes, for god's sake. The Keiichi/Satoshi scene was completely un-fucking-necessary. It ruins the overall seriousness of the series. First we see Keiichi saying he has no respect for Satoshi for abandoning his sister (but we all know he actually went crazy with the Hinamizawa syndrome) and now this Yaoi shit? Not to mention the implied gay gang-bang at the end of episode 1. Ryukishi wtf is wrong with you? It's a bit like turning the story of van Helsing into a whacky comedy starring time-traveling Ronald Mcdonald disguised as Dr Jekyll. That's what DEEN and Ryukishi did with Higurashi. So inappropriate. Kira is a spit in the face to the whole Higurashi series. |

| Better than the first season. Almost better than the second season. As an overall, Kira is for sure more enjoyable. ;) |
