Who inspires you the most/influences your art? Have your influences changed over the years?

I used to be influenced by japanese artists (such as Naoko Takeuchi) but now I'm finding that I am more influenced by Canadian artists such as klar and dracanta, and American artists like Prodigy Bombay. English-speaking artists that are influenced by anime/comics, that I found over the internet. XD

I have gotten alot of inspiration from the cgforums -> cgsociety.org Amazing artists there o_O

The beginners lounge there is really helpful, even though I haven't made any posts there, just looking at others with the same problems as m, and how they improve there is really amazing!

-> Beginners lounge http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=199&t=297229&highlight=beginner+lounge

Take a look there, works for everyone, Rebeccak is really helpful!

So many uber talented people in so many varied forms. Besides, they are regular people so the thought of artistry is less farfetched... does that make sense?

I'd have to say the two people that inspire my artwork are my grandmother, whom is an artist herself, and my friend Kanashimi. Both of them support my artwork and help me look at the mistakes I make and push me through it so I can do better than I already am. Much <3 to Grandma and Kana.

omigosh I LOVE Audrey Kawasaki!! I can't remember how I found her; I wanna say that she had an installment here in Portland.

There is another artist that does similar things on wood, but I can't remember her name.

My grandmother was the one who inspired me into the art world. I have her skill of drawing botanicals and landscapes from her.

But I also got a lot of influence by Japanese mangaka, mainly Naoko Takeuchi and CLAMP as well.

Oh, lots...

Julie Dillon, Tamara De Lempicka, Akira Toriyama, Edward Hopper, Da Vinci and tons of other Asian artists whose names I don't know, unfortunately.
