What's your favorite thing about Clair?
| I know this is a pretty basic question, but I thought the club could use a Poll. So tell everyone what you think makes Clair so awesome! :) I have to admit, Clair is one of those characters that's really hard to define in a single sentence, let alone pick only one attribute which makes him great. I mean c'mon - look at him! (LOL) But I chose his mental state. I've always enjoyed characters that are mad-cool and crazy, but there has to be a reason for them to be that way, and it's great when it's so realistic. I think Clair being kinda twisted by his childhood gives him depth, and definitely a realism - they way he feels as if he was not good enough for his father is something, I think, a lot of people can relate to, myself included. Even if you just play the notion up in your own head, despite whether or not it's true, it hurts. And when your little, it's something that stays with you. For some, like Clair, it also eats away at you. I feel bad for him, and empathize. I also feel like it gives him strength. The arrogant drive to be better than what others assumed, and then later, the power to break through his depression and breakdown to come out stronger. Him being mental showed a great evolution for the character which I loved. ♥ |
| Hello! I picked his laugh, but it was a really close tie actually with his psychology. I think the laugh is pretty unnerving and embodies how unhinged he is, so that's why I settled on it. :) |
