Which version of Chiaki did you like better? The Anime or the Japanese Live Action Drama?
I myself loved Chiaki even more in the Dorama, because he's more free there and more energetic xD But I didn't like the fact how his and Nodame's relationship is painted, just don't know... Liked it better in the anime ^^
I'll be nicer if you give me chocolate and bishies ^^

i didnt get to see much of the anime version, only first 3 episodes. but i like the live version, pretty cute. hiroshi tamaki did a good job on chiaki, and juri ueno was a perfect nodame!

Ornette, it is worth it. At first it's kinda hard to get used to the actors, but eventually you'll fall in love with it ^^ And be careful if you haven't read all the manga because the dorama goes beyond the anime, so you can get spoilers xD

Kohitsuji, I agree I loved Hiroshi Tamaki as Chiaki and I loved Juri as Nodame even more ^^ To say the truth, all the actors were pretty good xD Only Stresemann scared me a little bit xD

The anime of course... comedy is much better and they can do more... since it would take a great deal of production in filming orchestra in Europe.

i was actually first introduced to this series via manga, and it was way before i realised it was such a hit. i chanced passed the manga at the store and initially gave it a miss cos the artwork didnt attract me. then one fine day i got bored with nothing better to read, and besides me being a music fan, i thought to give it a try. and then i got hooked. lol. after awhile even the artwork looked appealing to me. i think its just a very different drawing style; quite detailed nevertheless, but not meant to look dramatic or beautiful. a very down to earth style.

never regret it. i was thrilled to learn that they have it done in live action and purchased the dvd when its released. i didnt get a chance to watch the anime though - didnt see it around. T_T
