| So I'm going to try to do this after each week, assuming I don't get too busy and/or lazy (which has been known to happen). I'll be editing this post and just posting a new reply each time to let people know the rankings are up. If you care, you should probably watch this thread. The basic idea is to provide overall rankings based on stat totals (as opposed to win-loss against specific opponents) across the entire league (both divisions as one pool). Because you obviously can't add plus-minus to save percentage (et al), this will be my methodology. Feel free to criticize it if you want. Using this stat sheet as a guide, I'll be ranking each team from 1-8 in each stat category. 8th place will get 1 point, 7th place 2 points, 6th place 3 points, and on until 1 st place (8 points). In the case of ties, all tied teams get the point amount for the lowest place in the tie, not the highest. (Example: 6th place and 7th place are tied with 50SOG. They will both receive 2 points.) The points will then be totaled up and we get our rankings. These are cumulative, as they use the total stats from all year to date, not just that weeks'. As such they're more just another way of looking at how people are doing overall, not weighted toward that week like true power rankings. Two things that surprised me this week is me being in first in PPP and tied for seconds in Wins, as those had been two areas of concern for me so far... |

| it was 9-0-1 its interesting that i overtook BAKA in the power rankings (22 pt gap! O.O!!), yet BAKA beat me 3-6-1 this week T_T also, the wealthy is getting wealthier as furizaa continues to gather more points, hes entering stratosphere level! :O |

| Week 8 rankings are up. A few position changes, but everyone in the bottom four is really close together now. 25 total points in change. If it stays that way (which obviously it's far too soon to predict), it will be advantageous to the 3 and 4 spots in the playoffs. |
| haha random and nothing to do with this thread, but zombie, i like your avatar. its clever :P my moves these past weeks are geared towards the playoffs. i picked up a bunch of injured people that will hopefully contribute come playoff time. and washingtons goalie situation is quite a problem isnt it? itll either help me or zombieguy seeing as how i wasted a waiver for him >.< crosby on a roll. 16 straight games with a point? whew! |
| Yeah, I think next year we should maybe not make everyone automatically qualify for the playoffs, if that's possible. No offense meant. :P And oh, you picked up Varly, eh? Problem with that is, he is in a tandem role with Neuvirth right now (which I guess it what you meant). Though good point that that will change in the playoffs. |
| no offense taken. im just playing to the advantage of the setup of our league. of course, my way will have me on the lower end of the draw so i will have a harder first round matchup than i normally would with a regular roster but yeah, hopefully we will get a bigger more active group next year |
