| A small, wooded area on the outskirts of town. It lies in a small valley, and has a stream running through it, the cleanliness of which is questionable. This patch of land has remained largely untouched by man, due to it's poor suitability for construction. It is bordered by edges of Brightvale, the highway leading out of the city, and an unsold plot of land ready for development. |
| On the side of a hill facing away from the city, there was a small hole. Over this hole was a makeshift roof, just big enough for a person to curl under. It was well camouflaged with some dirt and grass on top of it. The grass was actually growing in the dirt. There was a bush on one side of the shelter, and a large rock on the other, concealing it from all sides but the front. Out of this makeshift home came a man. As he squirmed out of his tiny hole, his marvelous wings could be seen. Enormous, brown wings. They, along with his face and tattered clothes, gave him a certain owl-like look. The man sat outside of his home, listening to the birds, waiting. For what, he didn't know yet, but he waited, as he did every day, for something that required action. |
