| i wish he would. he'd be an awesome captain. unless kenpachi steps down or something happens to him or he dies in one of his "battles to the death" (i doubt kenpachi would though), ikkaku will refuse to be captain. and if he ever does consider being captain, it'd definitely be for the 11th squad |

| Ikkaku will be captain, because he has (bankai) power. Who has power, have to take responsibility. But now, he is not ready to be captain. It will take time. |
