In fanfiction, I've been seeing lately that almost everyone mentions that Half-Mazoku age faster than full blooded Mazoku.

If this were true then Conrad and Josak would almost look like Yuuri's dad in age and that 50 year old half-mazoku boy that Yuuri and Gwendal ran across in the Mateki arc would look older than Wolfram.

My question is, is this a theory some fangirl baked up and everyone said, "Hey, sounds cool" and applied it to their own fanfics, or did Tomo Takabayashi actually intend for the half-mazoku to age faster, but didn't think it through all the way? I dunno, it's just something that's been on my mind lately~~~ Would love some clarification ^.^

That´s a pretty good question...

As far as the anime goes I can't say I remember any mention of Half-Mazoku aging faster... but then again my memory's not perfect. =P

I don't read fanfics so I didn't know about this "theory", however, you're making a good point : we're clearly seeing how Conrad evolved from his childhood, and he seems to have grown proportionally with his brothers, he still looks younger than Gwendal

it's mentioned that they seem to age faster at first, but then slow down after a little bit (10-15 years i think), so while a 10 year old half would look... 10, a 10 year old mazoku would look about 6 (see Jilta - i think his name was) in the mateki arc.

It seems to me rather like half-elves and full elves in other genres. The half-Mazoku age slower than full humans, but faster than full Mazoku.

I wondered if some Mazoku age backwards, in that Ulrike is a child-like size but older than very many of the main characters.

ulrike looks like that because of her strong powers, i think... if i'm not mistaken, they explained it when yuuri first met her

I wondered, as in one episodes where Ukrike's "spirit" got loose, and it showed an older Ulrike spanking the little one. That was funny, but it made me wondered why she was child like size. I guess I should go back and watch the earlier episodes again to see.

Just watched the episode of Chapter 10, episode 3 on Volume 2, Season 1.

In Conrad's explanation: "Ulrike is from a special strain" of Mazoku, which is why she looks so young though she is somewhat ancient.

Well according to what I read or saw? I read or saw something about on KKM Earth, the life span of mazoku is the same as a human. Since Yuuri is half mazoku and half human, he gots to live the same lifespan as the others. I didn't read the part about half-mazoku's life being shorter than others in the manga, or maybe I'm behind since they haven't upload any scans lately..TT.TT

in my opinion I say that if they are living with the Mazoku or born with a Mazoku and human they stay the same when they were young adults without wrinkles or anything that shows how old they are.

the people who made KKM maybe they didn't want to make the main characters look like old men, to make it more interesting. well some of the characters made their powers to keep them looking very long.
Hiya, I'm a big fan of Wolf's rain and Spice and wolf, plus the Kyou Kara Maou! Series

I can't wait to see the 3rd season of Spice and wolf, I am so excited. I wish Studio Deen made more Episodes of KYOU KARA MAOU! and Kyou Kara Maou! R
