From what I can tell, the Original LIght Novels have like triple the content the anime does So its not like there isn't any Source material to draw from. Im kinda surprised with an anime as Popular as Haruhi that it never got a full adaptation.

Ill Probobly Just read the rest of the Light Novels at some point cause it's been like 10 years since even the Disapearence of Nagato Yuki came out, so I kinda doubt we're getting more.

(The same could be said with the likes of New Panty and Stocking/ Devil is a part timer, though, so who knows, maybe I'll be happily proved wrong.

If you're looking for Somthing With similar Vibes to Haruhi I might Reccomend "Rascal Does not dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai". It has More Romance in it but It has alot Of similarities such as a Main Character with a Really Deadpan Sense of humour, Highschool Setting and The general Sci-Fi Strange Phenomenon Stuff.

She's super fine, but she was canceled hard in Japan because she was caught having intimate relationships with her band members (which shouldn't be that huge of a scandal, but you know Asian people and how they treat their idols).

She did a live performance with the rest of the cast to celebrate Suzumiya a year ago, If I'm not mistaken, but I dunno how well it was received by fans (seemed fine).

A third season then has 2 big problems: KyoAni doesn't need (neither seems to want) to work with third party franchises anymore (even though Suzumiya was one of the most responsibles for elevating the studio), and two, which was this scandal with Haruhi's VA, one of the most famous of its time in Japan. I kinda doubt we'll get anymore adaptations from KyoAni, unfortunately.

There actually was a second season of "The Devil Is a Part Timer," eight years after the original, and it really sucked. Kind of like the second season of "Horimiya."
