Hey guys, i like to make fun discussion posts for anime viewers from time to time,
As the topic says, i didn't expect the Red ranger Isekai anime to be this good, the amount of refences, the jokes it makes about the show and the cringe, oh yes the cringe you realize you liked back when you were a kid, that somehow was acceptable for your young child brain, yet then you realize as you mature that the random explosions, dancing, talking devices, reused CGI with different scenes and postures were cringe AF and you grow out of it (apologizing for people who still watch it as adults and might get butthurt about my comment, listen i tried, i have an IRL friend who is the same as you, i just can't with that silly show anymore, but if you still like it, good for you, i'm not hating on you), yet i somehow really enjoy this anime with the isekai concept and also when there are episodes about the Kizona five's regular world which i think should be a spinoff series, because it just as good. i don't find it cringe enough to dislike it, and also the Daishikkaku parody anime (season 2 in spring) where the Sentai/Rengars are portrayed as the bad guys is pretty good too.

I don't get it, this show is a worldwide culture for us the old school who grew up watching it, and it doesn't die, every year, new children join the experience with a newer gen of the power rangers/sentai, there's movies, it's unlimited promoted and merch, why they never explored an anime concept before? being that its OG japan made, and that Anime is a culture day to day thing in japan, why they never made anime shows for it? either as a kid show again or because the audience is older for anime, explore a more mature version of the show? people would go crazy for adult version of the power rangers, whatever it's anime or live action.
I did try to google other shows of it before making this, just in case it might make me look very stupid, but couldn't find.

I'm posting this on both the anime series forum and the general anime talk forum because it's not just the specific discussion about one or two anime, but the franchise overall. Feel free to comment and have a great day all :)

Toei doesn't make their own Sentai anime, probably because they see no reason to. There have been plenty of references or homages outside of that, but I imagine no one wants to do a full-year toku-style show because they don't want to deal with the competition. Super Sentai is in its 50th year; kinda hard to compete with that something new.

There’s always been references but maybe not full anime homages in fear of copyright…? But I suppose with recent shows such as Ranger Reject, Isekai Red Ranger and Love After World Domination (Super Sentai Romcom between Red Ranger and Villainess.) maybe that’s starting to change and we’ll see more sentai-esque anime in the years to come.
