| The anime finished before the manga had ended so there are some differences between each version, in that sense the anime has an original ending because it came out first, some content from the manga is skipped and anime-original is added (such as the Kaiji parody). Hanzo appears around chapter 33 of the manga so I think it's safe to assume the author shared the character's concept with the anime studio. The anime was released in 2022 and the manga started in April 2020 in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine (monthly publication), which means 7 chapters for 2020, 12 for 2021, and 12 for 2022, but the anime began during Fall 2022 (October to be precise) meaning 3 chapters released during the anime's broadcast so in reality they had 9, 2022, chapters for the adaptation (let's remember the anime's production must have started before so I can't imagine the studio cramming as many chapters as they could into an episode so close to the episode's release). |
