| Really liked this chapter! First of all, I like how Akutsu told Iroha to tell her grandfather first that Akutsu will be going over to their house, he's very thoughtful. Also, Iroha is hilarious for thinking that her clothes would fit Akutsu :'D She's so silly. When Iroha said that Akutsu couldn't look at her pictures anymore, I wondered if it was something embarrassing, but instead it made me cry. She was a bit bashful about how she drew pictures and fantasized about more family outings that she could never have with her parents. Sakisaka-sensei seems to have really taken care of writing these two characters. Iroha's habit of fantasizing must've started from that time when she was younger, maybe as a coping mechanism, which is why she started having imaginary Akutsu to converse with as well, when she couldn't with other people. This whole part of the chapter really resonated with me, although not 100% similar situation, when I was younger, I also had a hard time admitting that I felt lonely, or that I missed my parents (they're still alive, I just grew up with another relative taking care of my sister and I). When people asked me the same question, I had thought, no, I don't feel lonely, especially the older I got and they hadn't really been in my life for so long, how was I supposed to miss something that I couldn't remember so clearly? But then during my high school graduation, after seeing all my friends have their parents show up, I burst into tears without really knowing why. Later, I thought about it, and I guess I was jealous at the time. But anyways, it was nice to see Iroha admitting it after bottling it inside this whole time. I think Akutsu was very tactful. Last part with Iroha not wanting Akutsu to feel uneasy about what he wrote in the reference books he gave her, I thought maybe she didn't want him to see because it'll remind him of his ex, but it was interesting that it was for a slightly different reason. The hug though ahhhh Why is Iroha so adorable? |
