We all know that when a harem protagonist says, "This could be our last trip together" or "This might be the last thing we do together," it’s a clear sign that the manga or anime is nearing its end—often sooner than expected. One of the biggest problems with harem series is that they force you to pick a favorite, and that choice is never easy. To make matters worse, the writer often ends up selecting the most underwhelming option.

Personally, I love all the characters to some extent, but if I had to choose, I’d really want Akane or Riho to win.

Now, looking at the ending of Season 1, we got a glimpse into the future. Based on that, we can infer that whoever Hayato chooses will also be helping him at the café. This means we can narrow down the possibilities by matching the girls’ dreams to their likely futures:

Akane wants to form a band. If she pursues that, it’s unlikely she’ll be able to help at the café.
Riho dreams of becoming an actress, which means she’d probably have to move to Tokyo for better opportunities.
Ouka aspires to be a designer, so she’ll likely travel the world.
Shiragiku aims to be a world-class chef, which would also require her to move and travel.
Ami is the only one whose dream remains unclear, but we do know she loves karate. If she becomes a karate master, she could still stay in the area and work at a local dojo.

Hayato himself has made it clear that he won’t take away someone’s dream just to make them stay with him. Given that logic, the most probable winner is Ami—since she can pursue her passion while still helping at the café.

And honestly, that thought stings. Ami feels like the most underwhelming choice for Hayato, and accepting that possibility is tough. Okay she is not a bad character as such I like her but I just can't see her as Hayato's partner.

There is one more logic the first girl the MC meets is the winner. Now there are many possibilities here:

Shiguraki met Hayato in his childhood.
Even Riho came to dine there with her family.
And we saw some reaction from Akane's mother which could be a sign that she has also met him.
and in first time when he returned to the cafe after his grandmother's death he saw Ouka half naked.
So anyone can win with this logic since we don't know when exactly they all met him. But here Ami is the exception so she can also win it.

Man, I totally understand how you feel. I have been on Team Akane since I watched the first season plus I love the manga. Then again, I'm scared cause Ami is an unknown and unpredictable variable. 😭

I'm still holding out hope for a branching end like We Never Learn. I feel like the mangaka likes the harem formula enough to do it.

Either Riho or Ouka gotta win. For me, my favorite is Riho, but I think Ouka is cute with the protagonist too now. Both Riho and Ouka are really sweet with Hayato and I believe either match with him.

Ami is the least deserving to win, has almost no interaction with Hayato and seems to be lost in the romantic area. Shiragiku I just don't like her that much with the attitude of "don't worry, I already know I'm gonna be the one Hayato chooses" thing and she seems kinda selfish about trying to "monopolize" Hayato like he was an object idk. Akane is alright, I like her, just not enough for her to win and that's it. Just hoping Ouka or Riho do win, please?

And taking into consideration of how the daughter showed in the anime is cheerful and all, maybe Riho wins since it resembles her mother's personality? I pray for it lol

I don't think they will do multiple routes ending since the daughter specifically asked hayato that he met and fell in love with her mother while she was working part time.

Agreed I also like Riho. She is one of the most well written characters I have seen in recent times. Especially in a harem.

I have been Team Riho since episode 1. But after reading recent chapters Ouka shot up. I still like Riho more but if Ouka/Shiragiku wins I will be satisfied too.

I just don't like Akane that much. She's great character but not my favourite and as said Ami is not a serious candidate. And even still she didn't confessed.
