| Pretty solid conclusion all things considered. most of the siblings apart from william ig got solid conclusions and jude ends becoming the leader of the faction she sought to avoid in the beginning. anywho overall this story was very nice for the most part. Jude is easily one of the best reincarnated fantasy FL's out there, which is funny given how OP her character inherently was. Was super nice seeing a reincarnated FL actually go through ups and downs instead of just being a "and everybody clapped" marry sue schlick the overall story with the siblings political struggle was also interesting to see too. though that being said the way things ended felt rather flat all things considered. Like it's nice jude killed off count douchebag, but with all the buildup/implied strength of the guy you'd think the final encounter wouldn't boil down to just 'skill issue'. and the asshole fiance despite being perfectly set up to have some atonement arc or whatever ends up being just a typical deranged big bad who's purpose was to show how dummy thicc caillou was when he crushed him. also the whole teleporting concept felt like a plot convenience at times where it was just being used just because. the romance was rather amusing to see. Starts off completely rock bottom (it's not a slow burn if one side gives fuck all feelings towards the other romantically), but then all of a sudden shoots up to 1000% after one scene. Then it gets hit with the "i can't love you to protect you" bs at the end of S1 only for the author to literally go back on their words the very first arc in s2 lmao. but after that tho the romance honestly was really damn good. especially after having little expectations it was nice to see both parties having equal amounts of affection towards each other (plus some side couples too). Those specials at the end were absolute cinema 8-9/10 |
