I’ll just go and say that I love Blood-C!

The Blood franchise is quite enticing - The Last Vampire, from none other than Mamoru Oshii. Blood+, which is a serial astonishment, and then came CLAMP’s own vision and vampiric universe – Blood-C.
Despite the animosity and excoriation towards this anime, there’s just something about it… and I’m not going to try and reason with it… ineffable it is… it’s my guilty pleasure anime.

I see no reason to feel guilt with any pleasure, it's a good anime. I think a lot of people just fail to understand what it's doing and take it at face value, instead of properly connecting with the sense of uncanny it conveys through the protagonist's behaviour, apparently cliched supporting cast and the unexplained monsters.

Blood C isnt even a guilty pleasure show for me, i love it and im not ashamed of it, the music, the overall vibe and story, the art and design, it’s all so enjoyable, and the op and ed are 2 of my top 5’s of all time

I swear the only 2 criticisms i ever hear are “too gory” and “not as good as blood+” yet not once have i heard a legitimate reason why the show is considered “bad” by the people who shit talk it

Yeah the anime isn’t good writing wise, but it’s still enjoyable at the very least. My guilty pleasure anime is probably Corpse Party, beyond stupid to the point where it gets enjoyable and funny.

When I watched Blood C for the first time some 15 years ago I thought that it was the shit. Rewatching it recenrly... not a fan any more, the ending is just gratuitous. I guess that what happanes when one grows older.

The problem with the Anime is that the beginning of it is really bad and formulaic (It was supposed to be for the final twist). This is why a lot of people stopped halfway through the show

i loved Blood-C I thought it was super fun and appealing to me. Was it the best anime in the world? Nah. But like... ppl need to stop hating on shows that aren't cinematic masterpieces... Blood-C was good in its own right imo and ppl are rlly quick to shit on it because it wasn't the best show in the world :/
