Wtf!? that's a serious spoiler lol, that aside I stopped after s1 for this exact reason, ayanokoji has no character/growth at all because all he is, is a manipulating ass with zero redeeming qualities. I've never understood the hype around his character/ why people stan him, he's a terrible influence/perfect example of human scum. Anyway, I find it really amusing how he has the whole "people are just tools" thing, when anyone watching the show can see that he's just a typical OP edgy, boring MC who can't lose because he's literally a thousand steps ahead- I find these tropes to be boring when executed poorly or done in a fashion like he is, for example, Yuuichi Katagiri from Tomodachi Game is also a manipulator character however the difference between him and ayanokoji is light and day, one of em is fun to watch for the character (yuuichi) and the other is only fun to watch if you're into irredeemable, boring op genius. |

Might be spoilers: I think people are a little too mean to Ayanokoji. he literally was in the white room and all he was tough was to use and manipulate people. it's not his fault that's how is life was. Tbh, I think he's a really interesting character. i do wish he was less of a manipulator and I hope people in his class can teach him the true meaning to being a human with emotions. Maybe.
| @KYCT123_2011 ngl this would be really cool, that's one thing I can't really understand about him. He's given a fairly sympathetic backstop that might make him likeable, but it's more so the constant manipulation and lack of character that really does him off for me... now if they did do some growth on him that'd be cool, do they? Probably not. Either way, I do plan to come back and watch s2/3 soon (I watched about half of s2 but dropped it so I'll defo go back) because I've been told by several friends that it's way better than s1 and hey, maybe he'll grow on me as a character (probably not, but I did like a lot of the side cast and seeing them almost made up for the shows mc) |
