Shield Hero was awarded the Lurona village at the end of Season 1, why were the enslaved villagers not returned then? The Queen was willing to kill herself to get the Shield Hero to remain in Melromarc, but not free the demi-humans villagers? Why didn't Naofumi ask for them to be returned, why wait until season 3 for this to happen?

Second, the Queen blatantly puts out messages in episode 1 looking for the enslaved villages, alerting people to sell them outside the kingdom, is she incompetent, then she doesn't even punish the Nobles and Merchants who did this. Also she doesn't even outlaw slavery of demi-humans either despite wanting the favour of shield hero.

>Naofumi being awarded the Lurolona village shouldn't have happened until the end of season 2/beginning of season 3 if the anime was following the source material
>The queen doesn't control the slave market, which involves practically every country in that world, she can't force anything just because she's queen
>The time between the seasons in-universe isn't that big, everything happens in a relatively short space of time, so if something wasn't done immediately it's for narrative purpose
>Because of the Shield Hero's interest in the Lurolona residents, there was a lot of false information in the slave market. Slaves lied about where they were from in an attempt to be freed and merchants lied to make more profit from them
>About outlaw demi-human slavery: This obviously can't work immediately and would be received negatively by the entire country. Shit. Using real life as a basis, it's impractical and unrealistic. She and Naofumi work together to severely reduce slavery in Melromarc, but it's not something that can just be decreed from one moment to the next, especially because ex-slaves need to be reintegrated into society.

Like I said in the first post.

Go back and watch the entire series because you didn’t follow the story, dialogue, events, contexts, or character interaction.

Some of the people were returned, while others had been sold as slaves and were being searched for by multiple parties.

We find out more as the seasons progress.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@Zeth2604 so theoretically, there should only be like 5 minutes between him getting the Village governorship and searching for the enslaved villagers? As for the Queen, considering all the debt she owed Naofumi she really fumbled the situation.

what are you saying? @Zeth2604 even put it as simply as possible and you still don't get it? Not even God, let alone the Queen would be able to locate every single slave from the village and free them.

Can't locate them because everyone is lying about being from the village. Can't free them because people won't accept abolition without possibly going to war. Which is why, in season 3, you see the shield hero going to the slave market and trying to buy them instead of just demanding that they're set free, and he's lied to in the process so he doesn't buy the fraudulent slaves.

She didn't fumble anything, there's only so much she can do. And naofumi going along with it goes to show that he doesn't expect the impossible from her either.
